Checked around the country to see if there was any jurisdiction where I could hopefully waive in, lol! Nope.

I wish the rest of you the very best of luck!! Already enrolled in the February course.
I'm so sorry, but you will kill it in February!
Thank you! :) And congratulations!!
I am pretty worried. We were scoring around the same on Themis. What was your MBE score?

And dont worry, you will get them next time. I am going to be in the same boat. We will conquer this thing!

MBE 129
Essays 126 combined

There was no score breakdown between MPT/MEE which really stinks bc my essay average was my stronger skill set throughout bar prep - I averaged a 7 or 8/10 (with the exception of my first essay which was 3/10) and my last graded essay was a 10/10 - so I went in thinking that my essay score could hopefully offset my MBE.

Even crazier, my 3 highest MBE scores were in my worst scoring practice subjects??

Thanks for the good vibes! Yes, we will find a way through this - but don’t assume the worst!!! Remember the majority of people pass, so the stats are in your favor!

Seriously blown away by the results. Took in WA. Completed about 80% of Themis--decided to review MEE subjects in a way that didn't count for my percentage rather than doing hundreds of MBE practice questions in the final weeks when I was consistently getting around 70%, regardless of my approach and all that.

MBE: 158.9
Written: 176.6
Total: 336

Really owe you one, Themis. I was sure I was going to just scrape by on the written.

Hello,

What were you scoring on practice MBE tests? Did you use critical pass? How far through the course did you get?

Towards the end I was consistently scoring in the mid-60s to low 70s, but my earlier scores were much lower. I completed 98% of the course. My essays were consistently in the upper-end range. I did use critical pass, as well as JD advising manual, and strategies and tactics. What really bothers me is that I felt really good coming out of the exam, and consistently throughout practice I knew when I was blowing a set or doing well. Then I ran across this article, which was pretty crazy! https://www.omaha.com/news/metro/grace- ... aaba9.html

Bar: Washington
Course %: about 90 (can't remember exactly) & Critical Pass
Simulated MBE: 143
Practice Exam 4: can't remember
Mixed Sets: 75-85%
Overall MBE: ~80%

Congrats!

158.9 is WAY higher than 70% accuracy, right? I thought 144 (which is CA passing score) was around 68-69%.

Congratulations on passing. Based on your scaled MBE score of 165, your estimated raw MBE score was about 149/175 correct. This is based on my estimate of the July 2017 MBE raw/scaled conversion. This means you answered about 85% of the graded MBE questions correctly. Based on the national statistics on the MBE, this places you in the 93.2% percentile for the MBE (based on July exams from 2011-present). This means that over the last 8 July exams, about 6.8% of examinees nationwide did better than you on the MBE based on your scaled MBE score of 165.

Based on a total score of 333, this means your written score was 168. Assuming that the MEE/MPT percentiles follow the national MBE statistics, scoring a 168 Scaled MEE/MPT score would have placed you in the 95.5% percentile among examinees nationwide (meaning that 4.5% of examinees nationwide would have scored better than you on the MEE/MPT).

You probably would have little difficulty passing CA if you were so inclined.

Do you mind letting letting me know your MBE subscores? It helps me figure other things out:

Great scores. Based on your scaled MBE score of 158.9, your estimated raw MBE score was about 141/175 correct. This is based on my estimate of the July 2017 MBE raw/scaled conversion. This means you answered about 81% of the graded MBE questions correctly. Based on the national statistics on the MBE, this places you in the 84.8% percentile for the MBE (based on July exams from 2011-present). This means that over the last 8 July exams, about 15.2% of examinees nationwide did better than you on the MBE based on your scaled MBE score of 158.9.

Based on a total score of 336, this means your written score was 177.1. Assuming that the MEE/MPT percentiles follow the national MBE statistics, scoring a 177.1 Scaled MEE/MPT score would have placed you in the 99.4% percentile among examinees nationwide (meaning that 0.6% of examinees nationwide would have scored better than you on the MEE/MPT).

Looking at the MBE score breakdown, I really underperformed in two subject areas (one of them being Evidence, which was one of my better subjects?!) but I overperformed in my worst subject (Civ Pro) so I guess it all evened out lol?!

Anyone buy Themis for Feb19? They want $1595 plus $30 shipping... I was quoted much less a few months ago... (This is the "discounted" rate)

Given how many bar takers there are in Florida, I thought there would be more posts here come Monday re results.

Florida results released today just tell you if you passed or failed. The bar mails out scores, so folks will likely post over the next couple days.

Didn’t get my scores today, but I failed... I didn’t use Themis, but I plan on using it for 2019. Any FL takers and information on how you did this past July? Recommendations?

Hi !

I didn't use themis. But I finally passed the bar this time. I did ALL of the questions in the big purple book and supplemented with barbri in the topics I hated.
My suggestion is to be really good in your strong topics and good enough in your weak ones. Get all the points you can get. For me, MCQs are a real challenge, so I practiced so many questions so that I could issue spot faster and more efficiently. I also started seeing patterns of wrong answers, etc. I also practiced all of the released questions from the NCBE.

I have taken this exam 4 times (Passed florida on the 3rd, not MBE). Kaplan's questions were very close to the real thing.

Good luck to those getting results tomorrow. I'm hoping my state releases results tomorrow too (IL), but it doesn't seem likely at this point.

I’ve been avoiding this site since the exam because anxiety.

I passed Illinois! Unfortunately I won’t know my score at all but I completed 98% of Themis. I got a 132 on the simulated test and was scoring around 68-72% on my MBE subjects. I think I did around 1600 ish questions. Some were from an Emmanuel book but mainly Themis PQs! They were very similar to the real deal!

I really felt like I failed. The essays were a killer for me, so I’m feeling very fortunate. Themis was great and I would use them again but I hope to never take another bar!

I too passed Illinois. We don't get scores but I did about 1800 Themis PQs.

126/200 on the midterm. 75/100 on the final. 70%-80% on the MBE PQs. Essay scores were 4/5s, but never a 6/6.

Congrats! I was so worried because I had such a harsh essay grader. I never got higher than a 3 on any graded essay and only a 4 on the graded MPT. I was pretty nervous. Pretty sure my MBE saved me, but so glad that it doesn't matter at all anymore!
