February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
Didn't see a Maryland thread so thought I would start one with a question.
Anyone else log in to ebar recently and see "Not Yet Assigned" for their seat number? Mine changed yesterday - prior to that my seat number was visible.

Mine says that too. My pass is still there though.MDJD82 wrote:Didn't see a Maryland thread so thought I would start one with a question.

Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
The same thing happened to mine. I'm wondering if it happened to everyone. Not sure if it is any indication of pass/fail?
Also, I have yet to receive any communication regarding my C&F...

My ebar seat number also shows "not yet assigned".
However, one of my reference told me he received my C&F reference letter.

Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
The change to "Not Yet Assigned" appears to have happened to everyone. I won't read more into unless we hear that theirs did not change. I had my C&F Interview last week; it was painless. I have heard that in the past some people who passed the exam did not have their interviews until after results came out.

My C&F status updated to "Investigation Returned - Approved" - sadly this means nothing but the wait to next Friday sucks

I wonder if any of this is any indication. I still haven't heard anything regarding C&F. Makes me nervous even though I know it can happen after results...This wait is brutal.

Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
There are plenty of people on these forums for previous exams who did not have their interviews until after results came out, and passed the exam. So don't panic if you haven't heard anything. My status updated to "approved" as well, so I like to think that SBLE and the Committee wouldn't waste their time processing investigation reports and making recommendations for people who failed, but I'm sure it isn't indicative of anything.

Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
I agree probably not an indication but it makes sense that they'd try to be as efficient as possible. How great it would be if any of this meant anything...truly a torturous process.
I had read previous posts about people who were waiting and how they felt the few days prior to results being released and now I can absolutely feel their pain.

Friday is so close, yet so far. The wait is getting harder...the thought of studying for the bar exam AGAIN makes me ill, but trying to stay positive.
Have we determined a correlation between pre-results C&F interviews and passing?

Can't even think about going through that process again. No correlation but several people in past years have provided anecdotes (threads to hang on to) that if you are pushed through and approved it may indicate passing.
What is your situation with the interview and what does your status say profbarexamtaker?

Had my interview today. Status still says "investigation". Read old threads that indicated there is no relationship between C&F interview and results.
I need the closure either way. We're down to 50.5 more hours. YIKES!!!

Yeah against better judgment I have also scoured past posts and found that there may or may not be a correlation...but there probably isn't...but there might be...
Our research on this combined with taking the exam should alone qualify us to practice! Good luck!

Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
Hi - there is basically no correlation. I took MD in July 2017. While waiting for results, my CF interview was scheduled for a date after the tentative results date we were given at the exam. I ended up failing by 4 points. I informed by CF interviewer about this and she gave me the option to either cancel the interview or to continue on with the interview and she would still inform the board of a decision. I continued with the interview and she approved me. So my eBar page says approved and all that I am waiting for now are the Feb 2018 results.profbarexamtaker wrote:Friday is so close, yet so far. Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
Ha! I agree! Life will go on regardless, but it would be BEYOND SWEET to move past this exam and be done with it once and for all. I'm typically stronger on essays and hoping that the weight MD gives the written test will play in my favor. But who knows how the grading will be? How much of a loss is it if an issue is missed or analyzed incorrectly? At the same time, 1/3 is still significant and I have NO clue how I did on the MBE...

Re: February 2018 Maryland Bar Exam
FOUR POINTS!!!!!!!! My goodness. Way to get up, brush yourself off and retake! I honestly feel like if I failed it will be close like this too. I have bombed the exam before in another jurisdiction and I know what that feels like. Fortunately I did not have that feeling this time around. @tam hoping what you did this time around was enough to carry you over the finish line!Hi - there is basically no correlation.
