Does anyone know if a licensed attorney in another state who sat for VA for the first time would be considered a "First time" taker?
I don't know, but unless you have taken the Virginia bar before, you are likely considered a first time taker.

That's cruel and unusual. Announcing that many of you failed, and good luck figuring out who you are?!? There should be laws against that.

And yes, I believe you would be a "first time taker" of that exam despite being licensed in another state.

I just saw this. I believe, yes, that constitutes "first time taker." Based on what I read somewhere (can't recall where), first time taker is anyone who has not taken the Virginia bar exam previously. I am shocked by these rates

TN Bar stats: only 35% pass rate. 131 MBE mean scale. I scored a 140 on the MBE and still failed. Scaling the essays to such a horrible state average (131) really puts you behind on hitting the cut score.

Anyone in Maryland log in to eBar recently and see "Not Yet Assigned" under seat number? Mine changed yesterday from my seat number to that.

Still waiting impatiently for NJ which releases scores somewhere around May 4th. This is slow torture. It should be illegal.

Me too. I wonder how many people took the DC exam in February. Does anyone know?

The purest torture... I imagine Jigsaw from the SAW movie franchise: "WANNA PLAY A GAME?" My jurisdiction released the full Feb 2018 Essay Questions, but no results yet. Not going to look at it, just waiting out the last week.

Question, though: Has anyone actually ever gotten a jump on early results? I've heard all these theories of attachment sizes in emails, state bar websites updating early, C&F changes... but has anyone ever for sure gotten a solid lead on good news/bad news?

Which jurisdiction? I've been wanting to look at sample answers to torture myself a bit more until the NY results are released.

Louisiana- results aren’t posted until the 27th, but they post the past five years of exams and Feb 2018 is up already. No model answers, but if you want to go back and torture over whether you hit each issue or used each important fact, you could. Any other states post the essay prompts before results are released?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
