After three attempts, I passed the July 2017 NY Bar exam. However, there's a whole bunch of tedious paperwork that has to be submitted before I can be admitted in NY. Among them is a moral character application. It's fucking pointless- can't they just do a fingerprint?
Anyway, one of my former law school classmates is willing to fill out the application on my behalf. Is this allowed?

If they're already admitted (aka not a fellow admission candidate)- then yes.

I'm confused as to why you can't do it yourself? Isn't it online?

The moral character affidavits have to be filled out by someone who's known you for at least a couple of years. They need to be notarized and mailed back for you to submit with your application package - you can't do them yourself.estefanchanning wrote:I'm confused as to why you can't do it yourself? Make sure you bring the same attitude to your C&F interview.L_William_W wrote:After three attempts, I passed the July 2017 NY Bar exam.
