Postponing Bar Ceremony at Last Minute?

Post by ddz » Tue Dec 05, 2017 1:53 am

Will the NY Bar let you postpone your admission ceremony at the last minute if something important comes up? The certification letters says you need to let them know within 10 days of receipt, but do you know anyone for whom they've made an exception?

This happened to me. Got sick, couldn't go. They told me to try to make it but don't worry if too sick. WRONG. Four months later I still don't have a new interview date. Could be another half year. Fml fml fml.

So my advice is don't miss your date unless you're dead...
