Does anyone know what method of upload we will use in Exam4?

The exam4 website says this in FAQ: I don't have a standard USB port, can I bring a USB adapter to the Bar Exam?
Yes, you will need to bring a USB adapter to the Bar Exam.

I assumed we would upload it electronically via the network..

I was wondering if people are keeping their cell phone in their car or if anyone is taking public transportation what’s your plan about cellphone?

If I have to carry a laptop, backpack is not allowed should I just carry the laptop and charger in my hand?

Any feedback on this is appreciated.
i am going to carry my stuff in a disposable plastic bag and throw it before i go in the testing center. Just so I don't like... drop my laptop on the street

anyone staying in comfort inn? i'm gonna walk over and figure out room/entrance this PM
I took the exam there in July and they just had everyone put their bags on the sides of the testing room.

It was really annoying how some people thought it was ok to bring study materials today knowing damn well the exam instructions said not to bring your testing materials. It was even more annoying that we all got lumped into the committee’s closing comments about “no one better bring study materials tomorrow.” First of all if you need to bring your outline on exam day you’re going to fail because you obviously didn’t study enough. Second, why the hell do people think it’s ok to blatantly break the rules? I watched as the committee’s director walked up to an examinee who was standing in line and shamelessly reading his outline. I was embarrassed for him. He’s the type of person ethic rules were written about.

LOL on the first day, there were at least 20% of all test-takers looking at study materials. People were walking around wearing jackets with pockets in the exam room and nobody seemed to care. The person next to me brought all sorts of highlighters and was using them up until halfway through the exam, when the proctor walked up and said "Those are prohibited materials."

But I actually really enjoyed the DC administration. The staff was laid-back, and everything went fairly smoothly, more or less. Would definitely recommend others to take the bar here.

Did you guys start on time? Was it extremely cold or hot in the testing room?

Does anyone know the *CORRECT* updated address to return the Barbri Books? They sent an email to send it to a different address than what was on the return label, but I can't find the info anywhere for some reason.

There were some delays because of technical issues and mismatched test sheets or whatever, but the latest we got out was around 17:15. Not bad at all.

As for the room temperature, I thought it was fine. I wore a shirt and sweatshirt, and I was totally comfortable throughout the exam, though I think this has to do with personal preference too, since there were a few people that felt it was either too hot or too cold.

I agree, the administration of the exam went pretty smoothly.

On the other hand, there were study materials all over the place. Didn't know you could bring those into the "location". We couldn't take our laptops out of the room for lunch, but people could just grab their notes and phones from their backpack and study away. Just sucks to think some folks got points from that.

It was disappointing to see all the study materials and cell phones. I even saw people pull up outlines on their computers in the testing room right before the exam started.

The violations continued onto the second day even after everyone was warned that it was against the rules. On the second day I saw a few people get oral warnings for using study materials but no one was cited. One person was warned, said sorry and put his study materials away and immediately pulled out his cell phone right away.

If you are going to have a rule, it should be enforced. Otherwise only people following the rules are placed at a disadvantage.

For July'17, DC came out 3 days after NY. Wonder what will happen this time. Anyone see any kind of movement on their status page on the Committee on Admission site? Anyone called the admission office? Any updates?

DC admission committee has an update regarding the new swear-in process. I am guessing now we don't have to actually be there or wait until July to swear-in? Here is the link: https://www.dccourts.gov/sites/default/ ... 3-18_0.pdf

Hope so. Would make it so much faster.

The wait process is nerve-wracking...New York released their's a few days ago, and in the past DC was always a few days after by my rough look, and the non-late filing deadline for July 2018 for DC is May 15. This all makes me think it might be an earlier notification this year.

Fingers crossed everyone!

I am too chicken to do this but, has anybody tried to register for the July 2018 Bar who took the Feb 2018 Bar? If it lets you does this mean you failed/ if you re unable to sign up does this mean you passed? Also, I am likely reading to much into it but does the fact that we no longer have to be present in DC to swear in maybe mean lots of us passed and they do not want all of us in DC?

Do they email us, send us a letter?

Has anyone gone to the courthouse where the results are posted to inquire?

My nerves are fired and I am on edge.

Good luck one and all.

I'm with you, I'm constantly on this thread looking for updates, tried to start my application and it didn't let me but i think this might be because the results are still pending and not necessarily that anyone has passed or failed...has anyone tried this and was able to register?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
