I hope that is true.

More results posting this week!
I reallllllllly hope this is true because I think that was my score lol. Whatever 38th percentile was, that's where I was on the practice.

scard wrote:Well I spent the $25 on hopes that a score advisory is different then a score request in terms of waiting for results to be released. I’m expecting it not to be and their refusal to give me a score advisory is consistent with what they are trying to say online.

It’d be nice to think they are not releasing scores by giving a score advisory for states that already have their results released. The person from Florida above seemed to have been able to get their score from ncbe prior to seeing state release scores..

Worse case scenario I fail and get my scores anyways. Great case scenario they give me a score advisory on Monday.

Medium/ best case scenario they make me wait until ca releases scores, I pass and can use the score advisory to determine how well I did on mbe portion.
Did it work?

Uhm. I wonder if they will just ghost you until the results or tell you that it’s just too early.

Well if I don’t see anything this week I’m sure it’s safe to assume I’ll be ghosted

Workingtowards wrote:Was wondering if there’s a spreadsheet to view from the last couple of years including this years that lays out the overages from the practice to the actual. I saw one for 2015 and 2016 but I must’ve missed 2017. I’ve now got the date of the release of my bar results which has made me more anxious and stressed than I’ve been since prior to the exam! I really somehow managed to not think about it for a couple of weeks and have been rudely brought back to reality of waiting another almost three weeks for release of the scores I know are pretty much ready to go now.

Thanks for everyone reporting their scores. I will contribute soon (but not soon enough!)
In the event you took BARBRI, I took the data from the 2015 spreadsheet an sorted it by BARBRI PT raw score:
http://seperac.com/pdf/BARBRI%20PT%20Sc ... %20TLS.pdf

Of the 77 examinees who took BARBRI in July 2015 and reported their exact PT scores, 75 passed the exam, including all those with a 113 raw or higher.

Thanks, Joe! Do you have enough data points to do Kaplan?
Kaplan folks, please chime in!

Kaplan

Midterm: 144/200
Final: 151/200

Actual MBE: TBD, waiting on results for Georgia.

Also, to the person mocking the other person that did well on their midterm, are people not supposed to feel uneasy about the most important test of their lifetime because they did pretty well on a practice version with almost none of the pressure? I feel like I did quite well on my midterm and final, but I'm still immensely nervous about results.

Even if you scored well on your practice tests, I still think it's natural to worry not only because of the stakes but also because many people are validly concerned they did worse due to lack of sleep and nerves.

When the bar results you're waiting for are from California and not Oklahoma or New York, nothing but a pass makes you feel less worried

Themis: 157
MBE Scaled: 172

My best study strategy: I wrote the statement of law behind every practice question that I got wrong down on an index card, and worked through those flashcards every night. By the time of the test, I probably had over a thousand flashcards of questions I had initially gotten wrong, and now I knew them. Helped tremendously the day of the test.

Every state should just auto waive you in with that score!

I took Themis. Loved it!
Practice exam score 132

Final score: I don’t know. Illinois doesn’t release if you pass. But I feel like I bombed every essay so I’m sure my MBE saved me.

I also wrote down the rule statement for every wrong question and it seemed to help me.

I took the Colorado Bar and passed with an overall UBE score of 300.

All unscaled-
BarBri Sim MBE: 113/200 (took 2 weeks before we were supposed to)
Kaplan Midterm: 121/200
Kaplan Final: 136/200
Highest NCBE mock bar score: 144/200

Actual scaled MBE: 153.1

I used BarBri for bar prep and did 3 other full practice exams under exam conditions including 2 from NCBE provided by my law school. Definitely recommend using as many different practice exams as possible. I remember having an essay question on the actual bar that I had previously seen as a multiple choice question on one of the Kaplan exams and was able to write a solid essay on it because I had gone back after getting the question wrong during bar prep and read the answer explanation to fully understand the law.

I also finished both MBE sections with 30 minutes to spare and saw a lot of people looking miserable from test fatigue. Doing timed practice exams under real conditions (cold room, no food or drinks if your jx doesn’t allow them, starting at the same time in the morning and afternoon as the actual exam starts, having the same length of lunch break) really helps with stamina and I felt like I could do another 3 hours before I would be tired.

Congrats to every one who passed and good luck to everyone taking in February!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
