Took the NY bar and plan on applying for DC based on UBE transfer. When looking through the application process it asks for a certificate of good standing from another jurisdiction, and its mandatory.
Do I need to wait to be sworn into NY before I can even apply to DC? Any way to get a jump on the DC application since they take forever?

Re: DC Bar Application
In short, yes. It is a required document and you wont have it until you are sworn into your jurisdiction. That being said, you can "start" the application and track down all the other documents you need so that you can simply add your certificate of good standing when you get it.de minimis wrote:Took the NY bar and plan on applying for DC based on UBE transfer.
