You will get an e-mail that your results are available in your NCBE file cabinet. I think it was in the afternoon like 2-3pm.

They're out now -- didn't take it myself but saw a bunch of screenshots to confirm. A day-earlier-than-expected release lines up with previous administrations though.

I studied for a couple hours a day for a week using the Kaplan prep and ended up with 135. Their questions were bang on with the questions that were on the actual exam. I did all four practice tests, which were way more helpful than the four hours of lectures.

to add, i also worked through the emanuel mpre prep book. it contained about 150 past mpre questions, which i completed and reviewed. i didn't do the four practice tests but going forward i will order them. i'm questioning whether my reasoning is really terrible at these exams and what it says about my skills as a lawyer.. even though it's an exam, i don't know how i can't reason through these simple ethic concepts. if anyone can pm outline or something, that would be deeply appreciated. i'll be back at it again one more time. does ncbe provide a copy of your exam?

there's no reasoning. you just memorize the answers, or try to make the answers fit a rule, or guess the answer that parrots what a model rule says. i think you're overthinking this test.

Got 135. Needed 85 to pass. I just used Barbri materials.

Does anyone here have an idea as to how fast the NYBOLE send you a Notice/Letter of Certification after getting your MPRE score (assuming that's the only remaining requirement left to be certified to an Appellate Division)? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I, wish shame and misery, failed it the 5th time... do you have any advice?

Keep your chin up, you're not alone. When I finally passed, I did so by one point. This exam can definitely be stressful and can get in your head. I'll let others (who scored much higher) provide substantive advice, but I'm here for support if you need it.

Good luck!

Hi all,

Did anyone end up taking their test at a test center you did not register for because you weren't able to travel to the assigned one?

Would like to know this as well. You would think almost immediately, although while I have checked my MPRE score and know that I passed I haven't received the 'check your score' email.

I haven't received the "check your score" email as well. Hope we get the Notice/Letter of Certification soon. I'm a foreign trained attorney so I'm assuming that they would need extra time to verify my character and fitness :(

Nothing to be ashamed of. You'll ace it the next time.

I only used the free Barbri MPRE materials. Read the outline twice, watched the lectures online, and did all the practice exams a week before the exam.

I did. The lectures and outline were lacking in some areas but what I liked about it are the practice questions. They're licensed from previous exams. I scored 100.

Passed with a 98, which I am surprised about. I just skimmed the BARBRI book and didn't have any time to do practice questions at all.

I was so sure I failed that I signed up for the MPRE exam in November because the test-centers in my area were almost gone.

Does anyone know if they give refunds for the registration fee? Do I cancel my registration beforehand, or do I just not show up?

I would think you would have to cancel beforehand to get a refund.

I don't think they even give refunds, though. I may be wrong so I'd double check what their policy is about this on their website.
