For your information: update on the official website:

"The results from the June 15, 2017 NYLE will be released on Friday, June 23, 2017. Applicants may access the NYLE results by logging into their Applicant BOLE Account through the Applicant Services Portal at https://www.nybarexam.org/applicantport ... Login.aspx"

I saw the statement on the bole website that results would be released today (June 23, 2017) as well, however I still don't see anything.

I thought they usually released results around midnight...has anyone else had any luck with seeing/being notified of results?

Bar results are at midnight-ish. NYLE scores are during the day. I received my NYLE score at 11:45 AM last August.

Thanks! I just checked the website again and the interface has changed, and now it just has the option to register for the September NYLE...not sure if that's a not-so-subtle way of saying someone didn't pass? Which, if that's the case, I will be truly confused, as it's one of the easiest exams I've ever taken.

I'll be taking NYLE in September so for those that just passed, what do you recommend for the amount of time to prep for the exam?

I did not study at all. The only time I opened the packet was for the NYLC and the actual exam. Just use ctrl-f.

Ditto. There is absolutely no reason to spend any time studying for this test. Just play the NYLC videos in the background while doing something else, and use the outline with ctrl+f for the actual exam.

Yeah--like everyone else is saying, just ctrl-f. But make sure you have a PDF that is searchable before the exam.

Also, take your time on the questions. Some were tricky and required more reading / cross-referencing than others. Be fresh and ready to take the test. If you are worried, I think there is a sample you can download to test your timing and ability to answer the questions. If you do well on it, then no need to prepare.

That's what I have done:

1. Download the searchable PDF (I think a searchable version was uploaded to the official webpage on the date of our June exam).

2. Print out the PDF, and separate the different sections by dividers. Read the table of contents and get a brief idea on the issues covered in the PDF.

3. Do the sample questions.

4. Make sure you have enough sleep before taking the exam (especially for those who are in a different time zone).

Step 2 may be unnecessary. But I don't want to re-take the exam, so I just did a little bit more work.

^lol step 2 and 3 are overkill. I literally opened up the file during the test and ctrl+f'ed every question. 2 Hours was more than enough time. It was just a reading comprehension exam.

Overkill? You're talking about maybe one hour of work to ensure that you know the format of the exam.

I repeat to all future test-takers--this test is EASY but you still have to make sure you have a game plan and you are prepared for it. Don't go in without having at least an idea about what the questions look like and that you're capable of answering them. One and done. Why screw around?

I will be taking this exam during the September administration. Are the questions similar to the one in the NYLC or are they fact patterns like the MBE? Just trying to decide how I should prep for this while going through the NYLC. Thanks for any advise.

When do people usually take the NYLE? Before or after the bar exam? (Feb 18 bar exam for me)

I took it before the bar. (June 15th)

It's pretty easy. Just requires you skipping 2 hours of bar prep.
