Thought the kaplan final was way easier.
If those were three, this test felt like it was all 4s

Whatever, we probably passed. Talked to the barbri kids, and they didn't feel much better either.

Morning session was brutal. The afternoon one was more similar to Kaplan's questions.

Y'all Kaplan sent us an email basically saying, don't worry about dependency as much as other topics as it is not heavily tested in FL.... GUESS WHAT?! First essay on the exam... full termination of parental rights analysis. They must be kicking themselves now.

Welcome to the other side. Trust your prep. If you put in the work, you'll be fine.

In 2016 Fromm's review actually helped, it was just Mariano Rivera in his prime pitching yesterday's session.

I'm taking the MPRE this Saturday. Do you know what's a safe score for Kaplan practice tests? Thanks!

If you're doing better than 60% on your MPRE practice tests, you're probably in the clear in most jurisdictions. I needed at 75 in KY and I thought that was out of 100. So I studied like a beast until I got to the 85 to 90% range. That was totally unnecessary. I needed 75 on the scaled score of 150, not 100.

In most jurisdictions, you just need to be doing a bit better than 50/50 and you'll be golden.

Thanks. I should be fine then. The test didn't seem very hard, especially after the MBE.

Do we have to send our books back? I don't recall paying a deposit.

Does that mean we can sell it, or nah?

I don't remember reading anything about not being able to sell it, but you should probably check

IIRC the deposit was part of the class seat deposit or total tuition; you can send the books back to get the deposit back, or you keep them and nothing happens.

Sounds like I screwed up by not sending mine back. How much do you get back for them?

I think it's $250. It's a good chunk of change but nothing you won't earn back your first couple days on the job if you're in biglaw.

It's $250, or at least it was for my Kaplan course.

Passed NC with Kaplan...so if that offers any encouragement to anybody. NC doesn't release your score if you passed, so I can't be of any actual help except to drop by with a hopeful word. Y'all did great.

I felt pretty *&(@ about the exam, personally, so it's encouraging to hear good news!

I left convinced I had failed. Again, I don't know how I did on the MBE at all, but apparently not as bad as I thought. Keep your head up! (I know, easy to say from where I am).
