Where is everyone, percentage wise? I'm sitting at 67% with about 200 questions done, not sure if I should be feeling good about it or not.

71% at 220 questions. I was below 67% before my last 20 questions but then I went on a hot streak and pushed up the average. From what I've read, it seems like we're in decent shape this early on.TheSpanishMain wrote:Where is everyone, percentage wise? Similar jump here. Was at 60% for the first 350, then jumped to 65% for the next 350 - still have 5 weeks to bar to do more questions, review outlines and read through the essay topics. I feel very confident as my score is about where it needs to be and that is with my Civ Pro score dragging me down (still at 50%) - I have taken two previous MBEs (scored 141 and 139) and I NEVER did this much practice with reviewing each answer, so the hope is to have it jump just a few points (nothing crazy, goal score is 145, but even if I can get it to 143 or so).barkschool wrote:56% after the first set - 350TheSpanishMain wrote:Where is everyone, percentage wise? 57% right now with only 160 questions, so I'm trying to not feel too badly about that. A discouraging number nonetheless.

If you don't mind my asking, did you fail before or are you coming in from another state? My understanding is that a 141 Mbe puts you in pretty safe territory, at least in 50% statesndbigdave wrote:Similar jump here. Passed in Michigan (July 2015) with the 141 and had a 142 written portion.TheSpanishMain wrote:If you don't mind my asking, did you fail before or are you coming in from another state? Took Illinois February 2017 and scored a 139 but my written score dropped to a 122 (without trying to sound like sour grapes I think I got screwed...but I digress...)
Taking Illinois again this July, looking to bump up the MBE while reassessing my essay prep and strategy.

At 62.7% after 260 questions, being pulled down by a 54% in con law after some silly mistakes,, a little nervous.

Re: Adaptibar user hangout - July 2017
This was my strategy to conquer the bar, and Adaptibar was definitely a chunk of it:
I'm a successful repeater of the bar exam. The first time I took the test, I got a 125.9 on the MBE portion and I failed by a few measly points overall-I barely used Adaptibar and I had the chance to do only like 80 questions because I bought it SO late. It was definitely last minute desperation and a last ditch attempt at that point because I knew I was struggling hard with the MBE.
The second time I took the test, I used Adaptibar heavily in my prep and did about 1,000 questions from it (if not more). I got a 141 MBE the second time around, which was enough to pass with 30 points to spare. I also changed my bar prep program from Barbri to Reed Bar Review too, and Reed uses real MBE questions just like Adaptibar.
I also used the Critical Pass flashcards-they were spectacular.
Personally, I made sure to complete at least 2,000 MBE questions OVERALL, and I always did some MBE questions every day as that was my weak point. I always reviewed the questions I got wrong, and even the ones I got right to understand WHY an answer choice was correct and why the others were wrong. After all, sometimes I just guessed correctly and got the right answer, but I couldn't rely on this for the real bar exam. SO YOU HAVE TO DO VERY ANALYZED PREPARATION!
Also, I took full-length MBE exams and reviewed my mistakes. If I didn't know a rule of law or misunderstood it, I wrote it out in a notebook by subject (i.e. torts, contracts, etc.) and then reviewed those rules of law periodically.
PM me if you need an Adaptibar discount code and/or a Critical Pass discount code (add your emails in your message and I'll send to you directly).
I truly wish each of you the very best!! GO KICK BUTT! And let me know if you have any more questions

Re: Adaptibar user hangout - July 2017
Sooooo, Contracts Question #74 anyone? Super long fact patterns, and then the call of the question says "assume (contrary to fact) that they had successful met the condition–would the other party be entitled to renounce?"... But there was absolutely no purpose in having the call of the question have us hypothetically alter the facts of the question instead of just making those the facts of the original situation in the first place...

Anyone want to buy an adaptibar account for $225? Fewer than 200 questions done.

Sitting at 56% after 700 questions done. I'm feeling kinda frustrated/worried.

I feel the same but am being told by (highly) credible sources that that is totally normal at this point and not to panic. Hang tight, keep truckin'SchneefaLongoria wrote:Sitting at 56% after 700 questions done. I'm feeling kinda frustrated/worried.

Keep practicing tons and you'll keep improving. Aim to work towards at least 60%.

Re: Adaptibar user hangout - July 2017
I agree, just keep practicing. For example in my case, I just finished the first set (250) and I'm at 58%. In barbri I'm slightly lower than that, those questions are a lot harder in my opinion. On Monday, I took my first full mock MBE that my school offered. I got 68% overall, which I was surprised. So just keep working, reviewing the explanations and going back to your outlines/notes/flash cards.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
