Have you guys sent in your application packets, or are you waiting until results are released?

Since it's October now, I was curious about past release dates so I checked. I'm predicting Friday the 27th or Wed. Nov1

I'm choosing to believe it's the week before that! Halloween would just SUCK.

Also for helpappreciated/Sprout - I'm 1st Department so I haven't sent any materials in yet. I'm working on getting all my affidavits together so that I'll be ready to submit when results come out. Maybe people in other departments have already started to submit paperwork though!

Wait -- I've only gotten one survey email, on September 11, 2017. I'm a Second Department applicant, who took the July bar at the Armory. How many have you gotten?

I wouldn't even start checking your email for results until 10/22 at 11:59pm.. and then of course every 2 mins from then on until you receive the wonderful news!

I think early next week I'll start adding new polls to make the wait period more tolerable for everyone. I've managed to stay pretty chill about results for the past couple of months (after I got over the initial post-bar slump), but I know I'm going to start worrying once October 22nd hits.

I called today, just to ask if they had a firm date for release. Of course, they did not, and said it could be as late as mid-November.

Sadly not. Website still says late October/early November, so got that going for us...

NYBOLE always tells examinees results may come out in November even though they generally come out sooner. The last time results were released in November (11/2/12) was when there were the highest number of takers ever (11,734 takers). In contrast, 10,297 sat for the J16 exam. Results took 93 days for the July 2016 exam (which was the first UBE exam NYBOLE graded) so I would expect a day or two sooner than last year. This would mean that NY results should be released sometime between between Tuesday 10/24/17 and Friday 10/27/17 (at midnight).

If there's any correlation between the number of takers in a particular administration and release date, it's a very, very weak one to the point that it's inconsequential imo

Do results come out at a certain time of day? Or are we stuck having to check email day and night for days/weeks?

The only pattern I see is that results are being released earlier and earlier. For example, the F16 (pre-UBE) results (4,193 examinees) were released 62 days from the test end date while the F17 (UBE) results (4,162 examinees) were released 63 days from the test end date. However, the F16 pre-UBE exam consisted of 300 minutes of written content per examinee while the F17 UBE consisted of 360 minutes of written content per examinee. This was a 20% increase in content the graders had to read, yet the scores were released only one day later than the prior year. So either they added graders for F17 or they spent less time grading.

The trend has been to release results at midnight with no pre-notification. I have a list of release dates here:
http://seperac.com/#AFTERWARDS

FYI, assuming NY uses the same number of graders for July and Feb exams, there would have been 90,000+ MEE/MPT answers to grade for J16 and 36,000+ MEE/MPT answers to grade for F17. This means that 974 answers were graded per day for the July exam while 581 answers were graded per day for the Feb exam.

Usually late night. We got April 2017 around 11:42pm. July 2014 came around 11:55pm. Those are the only ones I have personal knowledge from from myself or friends.

My email says that we received our results on Thursday October 27, 2016, at 11:46 PM. I seem to remember it being after midnight but I guess not.

New poll to commemorate our waiting period. I'll add a release date prediction poll early next week.

I was choice 4 up until we got to October. I'm now at choice 2 and I'll probably stay at 2 until results come out.

I'm the lone 4 right now and will probably stay there until October 21. I had one freakout last week but I've managed to stay chill otherwise. Not thinking about results and focusing on gathering affidavits has been helpful.

I have kind of a weird question that I am posting to you guys. i went to a solid law school and am now at a solid firm. i did barbri and was doing decently well (passing) on all PTs leading up to the exam. However during the exam I know I made silly mistakes, as a matter of fact I later could confirm around 5 - 7 MBE questions I KNOW I got wrong (this excludes the myriad questions I had to make an educated guess on. I finished all my essays but STRUGGLED on about 3 MEEs. I am now freaking out that I failed--like chest pains, anxiety attacks, etc. Has this happened or is this happening to anybody? Maybe this is something I should see a shrink about (I'm being serious)--just thought I would share what's going through my head right now. I am going to post this to the other commiseration thread. I just do not want to feel alone and have someone tell me this is normal--if it is abnormal than I surely failed...
