Nope. Started Themis, but that wasn't your question

Same here. Started Themis; halfway through Evidence lecture. Course doesn't officially start until Monday.

Foreign attorney here. Last time I studied was 13 years ago for my LLM.
I got a 56% for the diagnostic but I did the LLM Kaplan as well between March and April. I guess I'll have to wait till the midterm to see where I really stand.

Hey guys,
Just FYI, I am selling my brand new Themis MULTISTATE Exam Books on ebay if anyone is interested. I ended up never using these so I wanted to sell them to someone who is looking for a cheaper option than purchasing the entire Themis course. There are six books in total, which cover all three portions of the UBE. I included a link below if y'all are interested. Good luck with bar prep!

What's the point of taking the kaplan diagnostic exam? I'm on question 41 now out of 150, and super frustrated because it feels like I'm guessing on all of them. I don't remember much from my 1L classes. Seems like a colossal waste of my 4 hours.

New poll! If there's another big(ish) prep course that I'm missing, let me know and I can add it. Otherwise feel free to select "other" or "self-study!"

Do the other non-Kaplan prep programs have you take a diagnostic exam?

Barbri doesn't. There's two days of "MBE Immersion" where you do 5(?) questions per topic, each followed by a lecture, and then a 14 question mini test at the end that covers all 7 topics, but it's focused on mbe strategy more generally. Then you go straight into topic specific lectures and materials.

I am sure this is readily available info but does anyone know if we take the NYLE and fail in June, can we still sit for the July bar?

I was going to do in-person but also changed to online. I think the advantage to in person is just that you can't be distracted by TLS/the internet, etc, you can probably ask questions more readily, and it forces you to treat bar prep like a job because you actually
have to go. I'm not sure how they do it because I haven't done it, but that is what it seems like to me.

I watched the pre-barbri video this afternoon and just kept moving forward with the MBE immersion video. I actually finished the Day 1 morning video (at 1.5x) and I felt good about the pace! I just switched from in-person to online after realizing my class would be the video on the big screen at normal speed.

For those who are NYC residents and went to law school out of state, have you requested to sit for the bar in NYC? If so, how did it go?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
