NY Bar Exam - February 2017 - Release Date Predictions Forum

For admission into the 3rd judicial department, does anyone have any suggestions on what sort of evidence your affiants should be providing in your moral character affidavit as the basis for their opinion of your good moral character & general fitness to practice?

Both of the people who agreed to do my moral character affidavits are asking me for guidance on that, and I have not idea what to tell them...I'm a foreign candidate and I don't know anyone who has gotten admitted into the NY bar >.<

The instructions on the form is as follows:

"In answer to this question, affiants should provide the following: (1) the length and nature of affiant’s acquaintance
with applicant; (2) affiant’s opinion as to applicant’s good moral character and general fitness to practice
law; (3) the basis for affiant’s opinion; (4) any other information or facts which affiant believes would be helpful
in evaluating applicant’s character and fitness to practice law; and (5) whether affiant recommends applicant
for admission to the New York State Bar."

Whatever guidance you lovely people could provide, that would be greatly appreciated

Lol, I've tried telling them that, but I guess what they're asking (and what I'm wondering now that I'm over-thinking this) is...what does one provide as the basis of one's opinion of another's moral character? Is it basically just something like, "So-and-so is a trustworthy person. [Provide an example of a time that she's shown this trait in the time that you've known her]"?

Consecutive term search within the article and I'll do it as remote as possible LMAO. initials are AC.

I'm thinking if I can find a federal job I would move the end of summer. Otherwise I would have to wait until I get results and find a job. Can't fathom giving up my lawyer job for a non lawyer job. I miss my man though..

look into MEE one-sheets for the essays, they were very helpful for me.
