NY Bar Exam - February 2017 - Release Date Predictions
Hi guys!
I thought it was time to start this thread...
Shoot!
I say April 21st.
Don't ask me why. One week after the MPRE results and more than a week prior to the application for the July exam just makes sense to me.
Only thing I know for sure is that I am fixated on this...

They never release scores on a Friday, and the 20th would be earlier than ever before. Realistically, you are looking at Tuesday the 25th to Thursday the 27th. Here are the prior February release dates;
2016: Results released on Tuesday, April 26, 2014 (4,193 takers)
2015: Results released on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 (3,997 takers)
2014: Results released on Thursday, April 24, 2014 (4,032 takers)
2013: Results released on Thursday, May 2, 2013 (4,152 takers)
2012: Results released on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 (4,011 takers)
2011: Results released on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 (3,881 takers)
2010: Results released on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 (4,031 takers)
2009: Results released on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 (3,560 takers)
2016: Results released on Tuesday, April 26, 2014 (4,193 takers)

Re: NY Bar Exam - February 2017 - Release Date Predictions
The deadline for applying was always the last day of April, BUT, there is an exception for re-takers. From the BOLE packet;
B. Special Rule for Re-Applicants
If you fail the examination administered immediately preceding the next available application
period, the deadline for receipt of a re-application for the next offered examination is 14 days
from the date of the Board’s release of results or the last day of the filing period, whichever is
later. Re-applicants who did not complete both days of the immediately preceding examination
do not get the benefit of this 14 day extension.

Re: NY Bar Exam - February 2017 - Release Date Predictions
Many UBE states already released the FEB 2017 results. It will be interesting to see if the release date will be earlier than past years since this was the first NY FEB UBE administration. The NY BOLE website says end of April, but I am assuming they would state a later date than expected to cover themselves. Based on my rational thought process (or irrational and hopeful thinking), I would say between 4/10-4/20.
Counter argument would be that the July 2015 (NY exam) and the July 2016 (UBE exam) results were released around the same time.

Wow - very helpful! Thank you! I based my guess on the fact that 3-5 days is way too short of a period for retakers.dionysius1 wrote:The deadline for applying was always the last day of April, BUT, there is an exception for re-takers. From the BOLE packet;

However, they say it is usually around 60 days and this time the exam was quite a few days earlier than previous years.

Yes. Email will have a PDF attachment. The email itself will not say whether you passed or failed, only the PDF will.

I thought the size of the pdf will determine whether you passed or not.
