UPDATE (5/8/17 1:07 p.m.): Regardless of what posters may be told on the phone, D.C.’s official position is that their waiver of the late fee absolves students of needing to register now. A statement from Leah Gurowitz of the D.C. Courts states:

The Court of Appeals issued an order waiving the late fee for the July 2017 exam for those who were unsuccessful in February, because the February exam results were not available before the regular deadline on May 3. The court emailed this order to all February 2017 examinees so they would not feel they needed to apply for the July exam before learning the February results. We expect to release the February results well before the late registration deadline, May 18.

So they expect results in the next 10 days. We’ll see.
Results really need to drop no later than Friday. It's unreasonable to expect retakers to get their applications in with only a couple of business days.

I was told today that they are trying to get the results out by Friday or Monday at the latest. If it's Monday, that only gives people who don't pass 3 days to get a new certification from their law school and have their MPRE score sent. Which is why that have been telling people to be prepared. Anyone who doesn't pass and fails to plan ahead is going to have a rough time next week.

Thanks for the update guys. I really appreciate it.

Mjleach, so you called them today again for that answer? Just wanted to confirm :)

Is a new law school certification necessary?

I guess so because this new sloppy online application wont let us process unless we attach scans of those docs. Also, I didnt keep copies of those docs when I submit them for Feb. Glad that I let my school know and got the all docs beforehand...

Yeah I called again today because the email response would not say whether they would refund money paid to NBCE. They still didn't answer that question, but got around it by saying they are hoping for a Friday release of the results.

FYI For those worrying about the NCBE fee, this is from the instructions
Applicants who applied to take the February 2017 examination in D.C. and paid
NCBE’s character report fee with that application may upload a copy of the
character and fitness application submitted for the February 2017 exam and are not
required to submit a new application to NCBE at this time

Anyone try to request their MBE scores from NCBE? Is that possible?

Some people did this when I took the exam in July and it didn't work. They send it after results are released.

Yeah, NCBE follows the restrictions and timing of the State in which you sat to take the bar. For example, in CA we get nothing unless we failed the exam.

I had a dream last night that they finally released the results but misspelled everyone's names.

Just curious - where did this expectation of noon come from? Wouldn't it make more sense for it to be COB so that they can avoid an influx of calls?

I had no expectation of noon. I'm with you, I think it will be COB.

I didn't mean to imply that anyone hear held that expectation, but I just remember seeing it somewhere and seemed to have held onto it since.

Good luck, that'll take 30 - 45 min that you'll never get back.

Like I'm billing hours hitting refresh every 5 minutes . . . not getting this day back no matter what.

Heard from a good source (yes I'm doing this again lol) that they're trying hard for today, but if that doesn't happen then it'll be Monday at the latest.

This makes it sound like we should wait until COB to write today off.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
