Re: Real MBE Scores
My stats and results (Florida):
166 LSAT/4.0 GPA, top 25% at a T1
Kaplan (98.5% completion, did not even look at the FSP plan for the last two weeks, 1,200 practice MBEs)
Adaptibar (73.4% accuracy after 1,500 practice MBEs - did not do their Civ Pro questions bc I thought they were poorly written)
Kaplan Part A simulation: 60/100 MCQs
Kaplan MBE Midterm: 135/200 raw
Kaplan MBE Final: 148/200 raw (kaplan predicted +15 for scaling, 163 final MBE predictor)
I felt bad about Part A, thought I failed it by a few points. Felt good about MBE.
Actual Part A Score: 164.0
Actual Part B (MBE) Score: 167.0

Re: Real MBE Scores
Honestly I barely studied for Florida because Kaplan's materials aren't that great for it, and I thought I failed because of the Florida MCQ portion. Also had a vague grasp of the rules for the essays, most of my essays consisted of detailed analysis since I wasn't strong on the rules. My strategy was to crush the MBE and autopass, never thought I would've gotten an autopass score on the FL section.wwwcol wrote:We both overstudied for FL lolpassx3 wrote:My stats and results (Florida):

Kaplan
Did not do the Kaplan final.
MBE was 146
- I chose to skip the Finals because I did nearly 2000 MCQs and had an overall score of 71% correct. Left the actual exam feeling like I failed for sure.

Re: Real MBE Scores
Passed the UBE. Took Themis
Felt terrible after bar. Spent many nights crying because I was certain I had failed.
UBE: 320 -- I got 6s (the max) on both MPTs and 2 MEEs, I only actually practiced one MPT with Themis and issue spotted most essays that weren't graded instead if actually writing them
Simulated MBE: 129
Actual MBE scaled score: 144.4

Can you give us an idea of your what MPTs and essays were like?? Lots of curiosity as how to points are allocated so just wondering if you remember spotting all of the issue/IRACing/finishing in time etckay2016 wrote:Passed the UBE. Took Themis

Re: Real MBE Scores
My essays were generally IRAC. I felt like I spotted all the crim/evidence issues (got a 4/6) and all the civ pro issues (6/6). Torts I couldn't think of market share liability so I just BS'd some type of rules and somehow got a 6. Secured I wrote very little, and my score reflected that (2/6). I had plenty of time overall, and finished with about 5 minutes left.ellewoods123 wrote:Can you give us an idea of your what MPTs and essays were like?? MPTs I finished at the last second. The second one I just analyzed based on each factor, the second one I struggled at organizing it, but went with by issue and that apparently worked.

Re: Real MBE Scores
I lurked on this site during law school and as I studied for the bar exam. I created this username in order to post my results in the hopes that they make it into the July 2016 spreadsheet because the February 2016 spreadsheet provided me with a great deal of confidence during bar study. Pass it on, as they say.
I studied with Kaplan. Took the test in Alabama- UBE state
Kaplan midterm was a 135
Kaplan final was a 148
Actual MBE score was a 164.8
Scored a 155.6 on the MEE/MPT portion.
Sucked on the MPTs (word vomit), with a 2 and a 4 respectively.
MEE scores were 5, 6, 6, 4, 5, 5
Total UBE score = 320. Felt like I passed the exam when it was all said and done. Felt good about the MBE. Thought I scored about what I ended up scoring. I watched all of Kaplan's videos, completed and studied the "fill in the blank" outlines, never touched the big outline book(s) and did just over 3000 practice MBE questions.
I Felt much better about the MPT than I actually ended up doing, and much worse about the MEE than I actually ended up doing. I guess I'm a pretty terrible judge of how I do/did on essay answers. In Kaplan, I only did the recommended MPT and MEE questions, with Kaplan's scoring of my answers ranging from bad to worse.
Congratulations to all those who passed July 2016 and good luck to all those coming after us!

Took Barbri.
Simulated MBE: 113
Didn't do refresher
Actual Scaled MBE: 151
Essays: 165
Top 10% at T2 school. 157 LSAT.
Would say I averaged 66 % on Barbri practice sets, and spent a good chunk of time studying state law & essays for the last 3 weeks of prep. Felt great after essays and absolutely dumbfounded after MBE day--felt confident on only maybe 30 questions. Proceeded to freak myself out for the next 2.5 months, for no reason.

Re: Real MBE Scores
Passed Michigan with Themis.
Simulated MBE: 129
Actual scaled MBE: 154
Essays: Raw 94, scaled to 135
I "completed" 100% of the Themis course but skipped almost all of the non-graded essays until the last 2-3 weeks before the exam when I started taking them seriously, but even then I mostly just read the essay prompt, thought for a few minutes and maybe jotted down some notes, and then read the model answer. The last week before the exam I tried to fully write out essays, closed book.
I did complete all of the MBE stuff. I think when I finished the course I'd averaged ~63-64% but I can't really remember.
ETA: Essay scores above - I felt much better about the essays than the MBE after the exam, and then ended up doing muuuuch better on the MBE. I ended up with one 3, one 4, three 5s, four 6s, two 7s, three 8s, and one 10.

Re: Real MBE Scores
Passed Michigan with Themis as well
Never did any of the simulated MBE exams.
Scaled MBE: 150
Essay total 102, Scaled to 143
I think my MBE average by test date was 63% for Themis MBE and 64% for AdaptiBar. Was at about 90% completed w/ themis by test date but i'd say 15% was just check the box on the essays when i never wrote out full answers.
Also used Critical Pass and adaptibar starting around July 5. I think between Themis and AdaptiBar i did around 1700 MBE. I skipped most of the essays until after i did all the new materials, with the exception of graded essays. Ended up doing okay on the Essays for Michigan, Average of about a 6.8. Two 4s, three 5s, a Six, two 10s the rest were 8s.
