Is it too late to switch to laptop for the essays? I hand wrote in school, so assumed that would be my best choice for the bar but now I'm having doubts.

Anyone that's done Barbri know how good and useful the Winter '15 books are? I'm doing Kaplan, but I want to supplement the Florida stuff with some Barbri MCQ and I am thinking about getting the W' 15 books.

I think people who failed February with Barbri are just using the same books, with a few exceptions. I'll ask...LAW813FL wrote:Anyone that's done Barbri know how good and useful the Winter '15 books are? Amateur question: what's the grouping of questions like on the MBE/FL portions?
I'm guessing everything is mixed up, rather than 10 property questions followed by 20 torts questions etc. Are they mixed up across breaks, though? Like if I see a Torts question in the AM, could there also be a torts question in the PM?

It's all mixed up. Florida is just essays in morning, 100 MC in afternoon.Geaux12 wrote:Amateur question: what's the grouping of questions like on the MBE/FL portions?

Business Entities is a total clusterfuck - it seems like they're throwing a million new, incredibly specific rules at me almost casually. How is everyone else learning this? Flashcards?

Ya I am really hoping for wills and evidence on the MC. Plus, the guy who is teaching Business Entities for Kaplan is horrible.Geaux12 wrote:Business Entities is a total clusterfuck - it seems like they're throwing a million new, incredibly specific rules at me almost casually. The live instructor for Kaplan is a really sweet lady, but she literally just read the BN outline to us. Not particularly helpful, and I'm finding all kinds of questions in the QBank that she never addressed.LAW813FL wrote:Ya I am really hoping for wills and evidence on the MC. I'm about to take the Checkpoint Quiz, should be a disaster.
ETA: How many different subjects can we expect in the MC? I know to expect real property/torts/Ks/PR essays, but I haven't really gotten into the whole essay prediction debate.

Re: Florida Bar Exam - Official Thread
From what Kaplan has told me, MC is going to be 3 subject. One subject is guaranteed to be Civ/crim Pro, and the other two can be either evidence, wills/trusts, or business entities. I think Evidence is one of the subject 90% of the time. Wills and BE are 50% each. Also, evidence wasn't on Feb., so I am hoping we get it.Geaux12 wrote:The live instructor for Kaplan is a really sweet lady, but she literally just read the BN outline to us. I've never practiced in FL (went to law school OOS and all my jobs/ internships were OOS). Imagine my surprise when BARBRI tells me that Florida's professionalism rules require that attorneys "avoid distracting behavior including facial expressions." Not a single attorney I've ever worked for would meet that requirement... ever.

Any info on supplements for Florida distinctions in the vein of Lean Sheets? Unfortunately, they don't have any Florida-specific materials

Any methods that have been working for you for memorizing the sheer volume of FL info? I've heard that typing out the essays and memorizing them is a good way to study, but does that help with the MC portion too?

What kind of attention are you all giving Dependency, Delinquency, Commercial Paper, and Secured Transactions? W/r/t to essays, in particular...

That's my plan for this month, writing out essays with some light review. Then obviously a bunch of MC.ash0117 wrote:Any methods that have been working for you for memorizing the sheer volume of FL info? Commercial paper a tad. None to dependency or delinquency. Trusts, fl con law, contracts, torts a bunch.EAsports wrote:What kind of attention are you all giving Dependency, Delinquency, Commercial Paper, and Secured Transactions? W/r/t to essays, in particular...
