Kaplan/Barbri Final MBE Scores vs. Actual Scaled MBE Score Forum

For those who just took the current bar, or even a past bar, how did your final Kaplan or Barbri MBE score correlate to your actual real scaled MBE score?

Have your scores looked to be on par? (Kaplan's final had us add like 10-15 or something to our raw). Did anyone do great on their bar prep finals and tank the real thing, or did anyone do fairly poorly on their finals and see much better scaled scores?

2 time taker. July 2014 and February 2015.

Failed July 2014. Passed February 2015.

Used Kaplan both times.

July 2014:
Kaplan final- 118
Actual MBE- 135 (needed 136 to pass)

February 2015:
Kaplan final- 131
Actual MBE- 141

FWIW, I did remember a few questions on the final when I studied for February, but I think the new Civ Pro questions may have made those a wash.

A poster who failed in another thread said their Feb. '15 final Kaplan score was a 146 RAW and their actual scaled score was only a 129.

Ugh.

Are there any other reports like this?

I was worried sick that I bombed the MBE because it felt so different than BarBri. Felt like I had to guess on way too many questions. Worry was for nought. Crushed it.

BarBri simulated final raw = 143

Actual Feb 15' mbe scaled = 171.3

Passed with ease. Also thought I bombed the essays because I left one totally blank and bullet pointed another. Barely got to one of my two MPTs.

Scaled essay score = 145.6 (UBE state)

I'm too lazy to look, but I got something around 125 on Kaplan's final and around 160 on the actual MBE.

111 Barbri midterm, 62 barbri final, 150 real mbe scaled.
