Reapplying after withdrawing due to family bereavement

Post by TrustMeImnothere » Sun Apr 12, 2015 7:17 pm

I withdrew from the bar exam this past February because of a death in my family. I couldn't focus so had no choice, even though I had to withdraw from the July exam as well due to illness. This obviously has been on my mind since February, but now I'm reapplying for July 2015.

I have to send across an affidavit, which I'm doing tomorrow. Has anyone else done this?

Secondly, they've refunded my application fee from February 2015, and said it can be used for a future bar exam application. I requested and they granted it. Does anyone think this has any bearing on the success of my application? I have no idea what I'll do if they for some reason deny the application.

What possible reason would they have for denying an application that was fine before? I'm a bit confused.
