Sorry to hear. I was bottom of the barrel of my law school class. Scored below a 150 on the LSAT. If I can pass on the first try, I know you will pass your next time around!

The best you can do is pay to see if you can waive into MN to indicate you got over a 145

I am truly sorry for your experience. I failed by 14 pts on my 9th attempt.

I also work in healthcare. Somehow, my MPT was a disaster along with my mediocre MBE.

Failedagain13 wrote:Does anyone have any insight for me on bar exam scoring. Here is my dilemma.

July 14 IL bar
Mbe 126 scaled
Essay received 19 points for a 119 scaled

February 15 IL bar
Mbe 133 scaled
Essay received 25.5 points for a 121 scaled score

Obviously I need improvement but I don't understand the scoring for the essays. How can I receive 6.5 more points raw score but it only amounts to 2 points when you scale my essay score?

Any explanations would be greatly appreciated.
Good job on the MBE improvement.

I think the essay scores are somehow different between the scoring memos from July 2014 and February 2015. The MPT average is now above 6, and before it was just over 4. Either that or everyone just did much better on the MPT this time? So it looks like your essay results were roughly the same both times. Definitely take advantage of the free inspection you can get to see how you can improve on your essays.

So it looks like MBE scores were down across the aboard. In July, 50% for MBE was above 140, for the February exam it is somewhere over 135. That isn't so good right?

According to those numbers, this would have to be the lowest scoring test in Illinois Modern history? 31 percent of takers scored a 260 or below. That means that at 264, lets say 33% as a lowball figure scored below. Statewide pass rate of 67%???? Am I reading this wrong?

People who scored 260 or below for july 2014 exam (considered one of the worst performing exams ever)= 18%

People who scored 260 or below for Feb. 2015 exam= 31%

Wow
