Will an incident report but no record affect C and F for bar

Post by lawapplicant2017 » Wed Apr 04, 2018 9:35 am

Alright, I plan to attend law school in the state of New York. And am interested in knowing how New York bar would look on this.

I have no felonies, misdemeanors, traffic tickets, citations, infractions. Have good credit and are financially responsible. No university reprisals.

A couple of years ago, however, a family member and I were arguing and she dialed 911 and hung up. The police arrived. No one was cited. But there is a Domestic Incident report at the police station. Again, I have never been charged with anything, no felonies, misdemeanors etc

Do you think just one incident report may preclude someone from admission to the bar? I keep thinking No - because I have read of people even with DUI's that get through, and again I have no record.

Do you think Ill have trouble in state of NY?

As long as you disclose it and give them a copy, you will be fine. Don't disclose it and that is when you get into trouble.

Haven’t you asked about this incident twice already? You’re fine.
