3,200 hours per year

Post by sener212 » Mon Jul 10, 2017 6:08 pm

Thoughts on the fact that Silda Spitzer, Eliot Spitzer's wife, billed 3,200 hours a year "routinely" at Skadden?

Some associates gunning for partner do this every year at firms in NYC. Doing it once is rough. Doing it every year is not a lifestyle I'd recommend.

Out of curiosity, what compelled you to dig up this old story about Silda Spitzer from 2006? Did you just fall into a wiki hole reading about corrupt NY politicians?

I was previously at a firm where associates of all levels routinely went over 3000 hours. Agreed that it's not a healthy long-term lifestyle. Also agreed that this is a weird time to dig up this article.
