So...I have the E & Es for my classes as well as the Emmanuel's for the classes, and the first year's questions and answers. I plan to get any Legalines that I can, although looking at the casebooks there's only one that corresponds.going to finish GTM before school starts.

Any holes in the aides or is it just a matter of putting in the work now?

My teacher gave us the Barnetts Con Law as our textbook. I purchased the Emanuels Outlines like she told us to do, but it does not seem very specific to what I am learning in my book.

Can anyone recommend a supp that would be specifically geared towards Barnetts Con Law?

Thanks!

Here is an outline that may help

http://www.law.washington.edu/SBA/outli ... pitzer.pdf

For a Constitutional Law Supplement Get Constitutional Law: Principles And Policies (Introduction to Law Series)
By Erwin Chemerinsky the 2006 edition is available used for around 15.00 but the newest edition is around 70.00

Hello every1,

I'm a 2L at U of A. Some of my favorite supplements that helped me during my 1L year were:

Civil Procedure Examples & Explanations

The Chirelstein contracts book

Principles of Con law by Chimerinsky

Also, I'm a Student Rep for Wolters Kluwers so if you need any Academic Success Titles, Examples & Explanations, Emanuel Law Outlines, CrunchTime, Law in a Flash, Blond’s, Friedman’s, Siegel’s, Aspen Treatise Series, and Bar review titles go to --LinkRemoved-- and enter code REP108 to get 25% OFF UR TOTAL PURCHASE.

Do the E&Es typically keep the same examples or at least examples with very slight variations from edition to edition? Or, do a lot of the fact patterns materially differ while covering the same topics?

Thanks!

Here's a book for 1Ls that helps you learn how to take a law school exam: http://www.aspenlaw.com/product.asp?cat ... 1454806079

It's called Open Book, and it's written by a Harvard prof and NYU prof. They give lots of test-taking tips and tell you what professors want to see on exams, etc.

Also, you can go to the book's website (http://openbook.wolterskluwerlb.com), which has lots of free videos and excerpts of practice exams.

Hello,

My laptop just broke and I am trying to decide which would be better to buy to use for law school and such.

I am debating between one of the apple laptops and the new IPAD.

Does anyone have any suggestions or insights.

EDIT - From the sounds of it I should go with the laptop - does anyone know which would be better, the Apple air or the macbook pro.

I just received my legal writing assignment and the book I should buy for the class. Since orientation is not until August, should I buy the book and do the reading now? Should I wait until July? We don't receive our full class schedule until the end of July.

you can buy the book whenever you want but i'd read it in late july.

trying to get ahead is a useless exercise. expend your energy elsewhere.

If i'm planning on getting a commercial aid for a class (i.e gilbert's property), is it worth getting the E&E just for the questions or is it going to be mostly overlap? My initial thought is I won't need 2 commercial outlines per class but I was wondering what everyone else recommends. I was planning on getting a E&E for every class but is it really necessary if there's a better supplement for that class?

There are a few cases that 3rd ed. won't have like McDonald v. Chicago (2010), but I strongly suggest you get the 4th edition, you won't regret it.

IS the fact that the E&Es havent been updated in so long a problem? The Glannon E&E for Civ pro is pretty old. The one for Torts is as well, if I remember correctly

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
