I hate to ruin the joke, but you realize NYstate graduated a few years ago and works in biglaw, right?

Calling troll. Your posts are generally idiotic, but that's straight up delusional.

Huge necro, but I found my old TLS account and this thread in my profile.

I wound up transferring to a better school and getting a biglaw job in NYC. I've been working there for about 1.5 years. It's utterly miserable.

Law school is a hustle and there is no good outcome. Either you fail and you wind up doing retail at Verizon with six figures of debt and an ineradicable feeling of disappointment, or you succeed and are press-ganged into the galleys of biglaw, where, like actual historical galley slaves, you're worked until you physically can't work anymore. I guess people who drink the Kool-Aid seem to enjoy it, but people with that capacity for self-delusion would be aggressively happy doing anything, including, probably, literally being chained to an oar.

I guess I'm posting this with the hope that someone considering law school reads it and reconsiders. Don't be like me, burned out after only eighteen months, your massive loans almost entirely unpaid, wishing you had done literally anything else with your life.
