Sorry, but that is false.

Judging from Law School Transparency, it looks like Davis is actually pretty honest about employment. I just sent off my application last week, 3.5/166, definitely hoping for an acceptance, but not sure if it would be worth it at sticker.

You do realize that LST's number crunching uses US News source data, right? So the LST analysis really says nothing directly about the source data, which is almost certainly suspect for all but the very top schools. Certainly so for Davis (at least re: JD required employment), a school claiming its 9 month employment (95.8%) to be above Stanford's (95.6%) for '09 grads, for example. I'll now add the obligatory comment here that Davis is a great school, but I do mean it. It's also in a cool college town, if you like that. But don't go there for the employment claims they make to US News. If anything, LST's analysis further questions Davis' employment claims for '09 grads considering the relatively low percentage of all Davis grads having a known salary range, fwiw (39.5% v. Stanford's 83.7%).

Bumping to talk employment. Op if you're still around, or any other Davis graduate, Did you guys find jobs? If so, where??
I'm going to be applying this fall and my numbers will likely land me in a bunch of t-10s. However, I want to work in the Sac area after graduating anyway, and my wife loves Davis and i went there for UG and liked it. Would I be shooting myself in the foot for employment purposes going to Davis over a t-10? Or since I want to work in Sac anyway does it really not matter, or maybe even be a benefit, that if I go to Davis?

If you can get t-10 yes, you'd be shooting yourself in the foot IMO. Davis almost a a repututation in Sacramento of their grads NOT staying in Sacramento, but we do fine from everyone I've talked to. Whereas if you go to Boalt Hall, for example, you would probably waltz into sacramento and clean house provided you are around median I would think. And as previous posters said, it kind of depends on where you want to live/what area you want to practice in after graduation.

I'm a 1L at Davis. I got decent merit/need based aid with non t-10 numbers, so I would imagine you would get a nice offer scholarship wise from Davis.

Does anyone know how well public interest oriented students do at finding jobs? Does it seem that most students (or at least quite a few of them) are able to get public interest jobs if they want them?

I'd be happy to take any questions as a 1L (just finished first semester!), though I'd only be able to tell you things that a 1L would know. So, I can't provide a whole lot of info re OCI, job hunting, etc.

Hi, one of your professors is visiting my school. Is there anyone here willing to send me past exams to make studying easier? I would greatly appreciate it!

Not sure if it's my account, but I can't PM anyone (can't even access my old pm's, or make this post w/o permission). Is it possible if you could pm me. If not, I will post a burner email.

Likewise. Can't figure out how to PM you, either.
