Are there official bbqs?

I'm down to have one at my place providing my roommate is cool with it once I move out there.

I messaged the email about the med forms and they said to just send it once I got it. The joys of dealing with getting medical records from storage...
Official or not official. I just want BBQ.

The BBQs are unofficial, officially speaking.

I am moving out of the house that we have been doing the BBQs at, but my friends that are moving in have said they would still host.

I haven't heard anything back from submitting the dean certification or the health forms yet, only my final transcript.

Any word on the feasibility of just biking from crowne polo? Or getting the pass at the cheaper parking spot? I won't move in for a bit longer to check it out myself.

Also, I can't believe we've got a little over a month left to start. I'm pumped to get down there. Hopefully we'll all get to enjoy the area a bit before we get started with classes.

Rest easy kids - if it looks like it does in that picture, then classes are cancelled for days.

I might get in trouble for saying this, but you're okay. I believe I turned mine in sometime in September. But, it is smart to get it done before classes get started.

Ok enough whining about this thing called ~snow~. I have a legit question.

I know quite recently Wake Law took over the entire building from the business school. There are complaints from a lot of people that the building is a little cramped and there isn't a lot of study space/common space, but I haven't heard if having the entire building made it easier. It seemed to me that when I visited everything was still on the right side of the building. Does anyone know if they are planning on utilizing the left side of the building more?

My apt is like 2.4 miles from the law school...is it feasible to skip the pass and count on biking? I'm not worried about snow so much as I am rain/ thunderstorms. I don't know how much of that Winston gets in the fall and spring semesters...

And God I hope it snows like that at least a couple times a year.

I heard this before coming to Wake as well. It has not been my experience at all. The hallways can be a little crazy at moments during the day, but I never felt "cramped."

The law school is expanding to the other side of Worrell. I had half my classes over there (they have better chairs). Professors are also moving to the vacated business space.

As far as study space - get a carrel in the library if that's your thing. I can't study in the library, but a lot of my classmates lived there. There is an entire hallway of study rooms that are perfect for groups or solo work. They tend to fill up at lunch or around finals. I cannot remember ever being at the school and not being able to find a space to work.

To each their own - but it will rain and sleet and everything else in winston more than once. I bought the on campus pass last year and will be doing so again this year.

Thanks for the help. I heard about the carrels and I'd like to get one. How does one exactly "claim" one?

Put your stuff there. Again, I didn't keep one, but from what I understand just putting a few books and paper in the carrel locks it down. The honor code governs and I've never heard of fights over carrels. Literally, it's its own little city down there...people store food and blankets etc. The library staff draws the line at toasters...

I wouldn't plan on biking to class if I were you. Crowne Polo has a separate path, but it's terrible when it rains and snows. My roommate (Ghostbear) biked or walked to class and we were pretty close so he can answer that better. But I wouldn't want to put up with all of that.

And about carrels: the general rule is that if you put your stuff on the carrel, it is yours. That being said, the library staff technically doesn't allow it and we've had a few thefts in the past year. I plan on taking the same carrel I've had for the past two years, but not keeping my important items there.

Don't know if I'm on the bus line, I'll have to check.

Guess I'll use a bike when it's not raining/sleeting/snowing and either get a pass and/or have my wife drop me off when it is.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
