Got in last week for the FT program. Pretty sure this is where I'll be attending.

Awesome and congrats. This is definitely one of my top 3 choices. Are you already a Vegas resident?

I went to UNLV for undergrad, but I currently live in Oklahoma. I'm looking forward to getting back out West. What about you?

I currently live on the East Coast, but I'm loving the UNLV option right now. I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple other places, and it depending on how that goes, I may very well be moving to Vegas come June. Looking forward to checking out the school during ASW.

Is everyone planning on going to the ASW?
I hope they'll send the formal invite soon. I would like to know if there's going to be a travel stipend before I book a flight/hotel.

I talked to someone about this. I think there's a conditional travel stipend (you have to attend to get it).Apizzle wrote:Is everyone planning on going to the ASW?

The stipend is a tuition reimbursement of $500 dollars if your out-of-state, and a little less if you're coming from Northern Nevada

If we have a full tuition scholarship, I wonder how that'll work. Even if it goes to our fees for the first semester, the travel reimbursement and seat deposit will be more than we'll owe.izzlelay wrote:JJ123 wrote:I talked to someone about this. Hey there, I just want to clarify that after looking at the invite, the tuition reimbursement is $500 if you are coming from North Nevada and $800 if you are coming from out of state.

In case anyone else was wondering about the credits. I emailed someone and this is what they said "Your seat deposit and travel reimbursement act as credits. Therefore, they will be applied to fees and any balance on your account once you register for classes. Anything leftover, will be issued to you as a refund."
I've booked my flight for asw. This last blast of frigid cold/ ice/ "thunder-sleet" has made me even more excited to get out to Vegas.

In as a Public Interest Fellow - officially decided to attend last week.
Loved the ASW, and I've been very impressed by the communications from the school. All the current students had great things to say; my best friend's BF is a 1L, and he's really enjoying it so far.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Admitted last week with an extremely generous offer. Anybody have any suggestions for housing near campus?

Accepted via email today. Went complete on 2/17 admitted on 2/25. I'm a California resident and I'm excited to receive my financial aid packet in the mail. Fingers crossed
