I was expecting some sort of definitive answer but once I received and read the letter all it basically said was that my file was going to be held for "further review."
Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? Is this a waitlist? Whats going on here?
I plan on calling tomorrow since nothing on ASO has changed in about two weeks and I'm starting to think my file has simply been tossed to the back burner.
I had the same happen to me. I called today and they said that the committee has requested to view the files on hold. Hopefully we get good news soon! Good luck!

FYI, if you were placed on hold for further review, check your status. They sent out more letters and decisions on those candidates.

Re: FIU Class of 2017
I think these "bar passage rate" stats are silly. I mean, Fl Coastal did far and away better than University of Florida, but I doubt that is any indicator whatsoever of the quality of the respective schools.
FIU used to brag that they had the best in the state. Whatever. It's a good school irrespective of bar passage rates, but the whole statistic is really silly. I don't care the percentage of students who pass the bar. The only statistic I care about is my personal bar passage rate... thats a 100% or a 0%

Looks like no scholly for me which means I'll be withdrawing and attending Nova Southeastern on a nice scholly while living with the 'rents and I still get to hate on FIU at the annual Shula Bowl as a proud FAU alum!

Well, have fun associating yourselves with a school that awards JDs to convicted felons. So glad I chose not to attend.

Just because you're a convicted felon does not mean you can't be a competent attorney. This guy turns his life around and the only solace you find in the situation is to criticize the guy. I'd be more scared of awarding you a JD.Young Marino wrote:Well, have fun associating yourselves with a school that awards JDs to convicted felons. So glad I chose not to attend.

Yeah I was just trolling Gabriel earlier. Actually got a sweet scholly from FIU this morning after showing them my acceptance to FSU. I'll live with some family down there so Total law school COA will be $35k. Go Panthers!holysheed wrote:Just because you're a convicted felon does not mean you can't be a competent attorney.
