It makes the FAFSA easy by comparison, if you're looking for a silver lining.
Confused... i spoke with the office of fin aid, and they say they don't require or consider parent info on need access. The website says the same thing. What makes you think you need to fill it out?
Hmmm, I wonder if it's for one of the other schools. I selected all schools that I am accepted/pending/waitlisted (to save time later). When I click submit, I get this error: "Your parent form is not complete. Please complete all of the required sections before submitting."

All other forms are 100% complete. I may try to submit NU only to see what happens.

ETA: Just checked with NU only. Good to go! I'm not sure which of the other schools were requiring parental info. Maybe some of the publics?
I know UChi requires parent info even if you list zero support. Did you have Chicago on your app?

There aren't many items but what you do get is nicely done. I don't want to spoil it for the thread :)

+1

I found out by accident when I went to look at my Gmail security settings. I never check my email on a desktop, and spam doesn't come to my phone.

Hey guys,

I'm a current student, moving out of state after graduation. I have a furnished 1 bedroom condo (with garage parking) in Streeterville for rent (8 minute walk to school). The unit also has washer/dryer in-unit, which is not common for most condo buildings in Streeterville. Looking for someone who is responsible to rent it for the next couple of years. Building has 24-hour doorman, gym, pool, rooftop tennis courts, indoor basketball court, indoor raquetball court, etc. Everything in it is about a year old because I recently renovated the condo and bought everything new. Contact me if interested. Thanks!

You will have to argue your case, using their scholarship response prompts. I think that you can find some info in this thread a page or two back.

I know it's early, but is anyone on this thread thinking that a room share will be more in their ideal price range rather than a studio/1br? Or, is anyone thinking, "screw it, I'll take the extra loan $$ and live like royalty?" My engrained debt aversion inclines me to the former.

I was thinking the same but I don't know if people do that...seems like it would be worth it to save the extra thousands of dollars in loans

Tons of people max out their loans. But yeah if you don't mind a small commute live outside Streeterville and find a roomie and save $$$
