This is far too optimistic. I lived there for a year, that was my bus stop. In the mornings in the winter it sometimes took 45 minutes or more to get to school. Part of the problem is that the 143 would be full half the time by the time it got to me, and when I got on one, it would take almost 20 minutes just to get on lake shore drive because of traffic on Fullerton.feralinfant wrote:You can be pretty close to 20 minutes if you live around stockton and fullerton in Lincoln Park. That's more or less last stop on the 143 express bus that drops you on Michigan and pearson two stops later.
When the 143 isn't running, which is almost always, taking the 151 means I would take 25-35 minutes to get to school, and I might walk out my door sometimes and find that a 151 isn't coming for a while.
If I wanted to get to school in 20 minutes I needed to take a cab.
People who want to live that far north of school can do okay taking the 146 by being north of Belmont, but otherwise living on the red line is the way to go.
