Registration for what? We don't register for classes- we're just assigned to a section.
Ah yea, I was asking cuz when I called Columbia about what would happen if you turned the MMR form in late they said it would just put a hold on your registration, but I'm guessing that's because the department that handles that deals with everyone, not just law school kiddies.

Has it set in for anyone yet that we're gonna be moving in in just a couple of weeks? It still hasn't hit me yet...

i know, i'm incredibly excited but it still doesn't seem that real yet.

also, re: ID photos, just wanted to relay these requirements

"Your photo must meet the requirements below. If your submission does not meet these requirements, your photo cannot be accepted. High-resolution RGB JPG file only; no less than 360 pixels wide x 450 pixels high (1” x 1.5”) at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Photo should be passport-style, of you only, and facing forward with your head and shoulders clearly visible. No photos with sunglasses or hats will be accepted."

so i'm just using an old passport photo

My picture was just rejected for being too blurry. I guess I'll have to sit through the CLS photo shoot.

Yup! I was just about to ask the same question, but I remembered seeing your post this about earlier (and finally making an account for TLS just to answer before I let tumblr distract me). I've been trying to figure out which room number on the floor plan the letter in my assignment matches with, so I'm hoping to find other people who may know.

Also, hello to everyone. I started following this thread months ago while I was working outside the U.S., and all the information/advice here helped me get my forms into the financial aid and housing offices without having to call and pay ridiculous international phone rates. I figured I'd finally join in just to say thank you and that I look forward to meeting you guys.

already forgot my lawnet password, locked out trying to guess it. i really hate superfluous internet accounts for stuff, why can't they unify it under one simple system?...always get stuck trying to remember the permutations of capital letters, numbers, and symbols to my usual password. technology sucks, Ted Kaczynski was right, who wants to hit the NYC bars after orientation, or rather, who is ready for a rollicking good time in the one of world's major, premier metropolises?!? what was that blow up sex-doll place again?

Yeah the multiple accounts thing is really annoying. I don't remember by email password... And they don't have a normal type password recovery system. I think they asked me to fax them a copy of my ID or something along those lines.

Anyway, I'm down for all sorts of debauchery when I get into town.

I actually think there are three different emails they give you: the one based on your uni, an alias, and then the name@law.columbia one...believe they all go to the same place, so I guess you're supposed to just pick the one you like best. In my email I got a message that they gave me an alias that reflects my name, same numbers but they give you a full last name instead of initial. After use of my law net account was restored to me, I found I had a law.columbia.edu address listed as well, so check law net.

Right there with you. I just came back from a trip to vegas that my 5 closest friends and I had been planning for months. Now I have nothing left to look forward to but orientation, and 13 days left until I leave my job.

Vegas was actually the last stop on the 2 week cross-country road trip I went on with three friends back in June. I'm happy I don't like gambling because all of my buddies lost at least a couple hundred in the one day/night we were there

The casinos were nice to all 6 of us. I've never spent money on an amazing vacation only to come out with more in hand than I paid for the vacation! Definitely helped buy furniture for my apartment.

Quick question: going to buy some stuff for a studio in Lenfest (moving in this week), does anyone know what size bed comes stock? Please, please don't say twin...

I would hold off on that at least for another day- new MacBook Pros are supposed to come out tomorrow. As for the price, here is the link to the education store: http://store.apple.com/us-hed/buy-mac/macbook-pro
