86.4% of graduates were known to be employed in long-term, full-time legal jobs. This figure includes no school-funded jobs.
I fux wit' that.

Dat $750 deposit is gonna kill me.

I saved it after getting granted a whole bunch of fee waivers, personally. I could never afford it otherwise- dat AmeriCorps stipend.

Just to clarify: were the full-tuition scholarships a myth? Did I write a massive amount of essays for absolutely no reason? There hasn't been word on here and admissions said there'd be no notification for folks who DIDNT get it.

Yeah, I have no idea. I've been generally really unimpressed by their admissions staff. They gave me a ton of $$ but the interactions have been negative enough that I'm going to withdraw based on that alone.

Wouldn't base your decision on where to go on the admissions staff. I have not talked to one person in admissions since starting in the fall. By the time you get to campus, they will already have started taking applications for the next cycle and will be working on that.

Yeah, their admissions staff isn't great, but it's a good thing that doesn't matter after enrollment. There is a chance that this years recipients just haven't posted on TLS or LSN (since there's so few of them).

I'm in with some money, but not enough to graduate with under 100k of debt. I'd like to increase my scholarship from vandy. I'm taking the June LSAT to try and improve my score. I'm WLed at Georgetown, Michigan, and Duke. Is this enough leverage to get $$ from Vandy, or should I bite the bullet and pay multiple deposits?

Anyone know if this tactic has worked with vandy in the past?

Similar situation here. Hoping Vandy will increase my scholly just a bit, but it seems they're unlikely to do so.
Consensus says unlikely, but no reason not to try.

Wait, so you're trying to get more money from Vandy based off the fact that you're waitlisted at higher ranked school? Yeah, I wouldn't count on it. I had larger scholarship offers from those same schools and Vandy wouldn't budge.

Is it just me, or are they being hella slow with stipend reimbursement?

Yeah, but I'm retaking the lsat so (if my score increases) hoping that helps me get off one of those waitlists and puts me into consideration for more money from vandy
