I almost forgot this thread existed! But yeah, substantial writing sucks. Have not started writing my paper yet.

I just have to get my paper in before I graduate, but I haven't talked to my directed research professor in like four months.

The thread is ALIVE. Checking in for substantial writing malaise. I think mine is unofficially due mid-semester b/c the prof wants time to give me comments. But who knows. Plugging away but progress is slow.

Also a good thing to knock out while procrastinating on substantial writing is the New York Law Course videos. 15 hours with intermittent questions takes forever.

They were due on Friday. I think there is a grace period though.

Same here :? Has anyone ever received a grade on a weekend? Or are we out of luck until at least Tuesday?

There's an extension for profs who have over 100 finals total, even if thats over multiple classes.

I'm pretty sure i got a grade over a weekend once? But I wouldn't realistically expect anything until tuesday

I've been under the impression that Academic Services has to approve, enter, and post the grades. I once got one at 8:00PM+ and thought they were working overtime--silly me.

Anyone in the know?

Nice update on the thread title. Grade releases are definitely a black box.

Pretty sure one of my professors released grades on Saturday since nothing was there when I checked Friday night. I guess anything is possible!

I think your drafts can be shorter, but the final one should be 10k words. They might let it slide, but maybe not - don't risk not getting certified for graduation.

When do we get grades? I'm going to be worried about whether or not I actually graduated for real until I have grades lol

Also from other old threads, it looks like Latin Honors are typically June or July?

Professors have to get grades in by June 8 so I'm guessing most classes will have grades posted around the deadline.

Does anyone have data points on Latin honors from previous years?
