Movement (ie offers) at Kellogg and Boies in DC. Don’t know about anywhere elseAnonymous User wrote:I know there's some movement in DC, but I don't know the scope. A partner at another big firm there told me they wouldn't really start looking at clerks until early spring. Not sure how common that is.

Has anyone heard recent movement from Patterson. I was expecting a decision last week based on the timeline they gave me, so hesitantly pessimistic. But if no one else heard anything maybe the hiring committee just didn't meet.

Also was hoping to hear something last week but didn't. The impression I got was that we would hear back soon regardless of whether the news was good or bad, though, so not sure how much can be read into the silence.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone heard recent movement from Patterson. That's actually a huge relief that you haven't either. I interpreted the same way. But I interviewed two weeks ago and was told that the hiring committee meets every week or two--and my previous offer's deadline is March 1st.Anonymous User wrote:Also was hoping to hear something last week but didn't. If you have a previous offer deadline, let them know ASAP and politely ask for a response by March 1 if at all possible. It's possible the hiring committee hasn't met yet, or is just starting to process candidates.Anonymous User wrote:That's actually a huge relief that you haven't either. I interpreted the same way. I had told them when I interviewed (and saw her write down the date). Anyone hear of any more movement in DC? A&P had some callbacks recently.

Re: 2018-2019 Post-Clerkship Hiring
What are the standard offer deadlines for post-clerkship hiring? I am trying to figure out how far out I can spread my interviews without running into offer deadlines coming up before I am finished interviewing. Are we talking a week or two? Are firms flexible?

Any WLRK offers out? If so, how long did it take post-CB?

Does anyone know anything about Reid Collins & Tsai? Culture, hiring process, predictability of bonuses, differences between office locations, etc?

Anyone with offers after callbacks in New York? No word from S&C here, more than 3 weeks after interview...I was hoping at least they'd tell me I was rejected.

They mail rejections - mine was actually sent to my parents house (which I listed when I interviewed for OCI but not for my clerkship interview) about a week after I came in. My offers at other firms came via phone call about a week after the interview

Anybody seen any signs of life coming out of White & Case's restructuring group? I know of some people that got offers earlier in the year but turned them down to take offers at other firms. Everyone else I seem to know is on standby while they get their act together.

Drat. I applied to A&P in DC but have heard nothing from them. Only applied a week ago though... hoping I'm later in the cycle lol.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone hear of any more movement in DC? A&P had some callbacks recently.
Only other DC firms I've heard from yet are Gibson, Latham, and Cleary.
Has anyone else heard anything from other DC firms?

Rejected from Gibson and have heard nothing from Cleary/Latham. I applied a while ago so that's probably not a great sign.Anonymous User wrote:Drat. Anon that posted about Latham/Gibson/Cleary.
Sorry to hear about the rejection from Gibson. If it makes you feel better, I have an HYS friend with tippy top grades who's only heard from Latham. And both of us only heard from Latham very recently. So, I think they're still early in the process. And maybe other firms are as well (although I'd love to hear confirmation (or disconfirmation) from anyone who has other intel).

Dinged at S&C. I admit I was really disappointed, as, both coming out of an A3 appellate clerkship and grade-wise, I thought I would have met their bar for a clerk hire.
