Nope. Just despondence! Had a phone screener for a boutique recently. Now I wait. And wait. And wait.

Missed a call from my first choice this morning (post-callback). Voicemail sounded promising. Still waiting on a return call. Dying.

Finally got the call. Relieved to put this process behind me. Good luck to everyone still in it.

At least some of the NY firms on the list circulated in this thread awhile back are making offers.

Took a job in Chicago, but still haven't heard much from my remaining applications. Seems like this isn't a great year for clerks.

Weird question: are you barred in Illinois? I am not but I have been applying there and I am curious how firms handle the situation.

The thread would be a bit more useful if people contributed specifics.

I personally know that Paul, Weiss and Quinn NYC have made offers.

Yes, I am. I'm not sure what your question is, though. If you're hired somewhere that you are not barred, you would just have to sit for the next exam.

Does WLRK really not give a clerkship bonus?

I am actively telling people not to clerk unless they already have a gig lined up.

District court clerk here from competitive district (NDCal/EDNY/SDNY/DDC) with 4 years of non-big-law pre-clerkship experience. Magna at T25. 4 interviews with big law in DC, 3 offers all at my class year or just 1-year cut.

I'd second this, though I think H/Y or T10 Coif doesn't seem to have that much of an issue looking for post-clerkship gigs. Other credentials should be very wary.

Ding by letter about 2 weeks ago. Hiring committee meets fairly infrequently from what the recruiter told me.

COA, summa at T25, no biglaw experience. This week I accepted one of three pending Chicago biglaw offers. Just one data point.

Chicago seems like a much friendlier market for this year's clerks than DC.
