Re: Let's Talk 10th Circuit!
Anyone know if Bacharach, Holmes, or Hartz have done any interviewing yet for 16-17? If so, when? And have offers/rejections post-interview already been received? Thanks!

As far as I am aware no Tenth Circuit judge is full yet for 2016. Could be wrong, though.

I believe you're thinking of Judge Jane Kelly, who's in the Eighth. Judge Paul Kelly hasn't updated OSCAR since 2011.Anonymous User wrote:I thought Kelly only posted an opening a few days ago. Did I miss something?Anonymous User wrote:Or Kelly?Anonymous User wrote:Updates from Bacharach?

So sounds like nothing from Bacharach or Kelly then? Had interview with one recently and was expecting to hear before the Christmas holiday.

Same is true for me. I was told I'd hear before the holiday, but that seems to not be true. I wonder if the judge has extended offers and either put a rejection in the mail or is waiting for everyone with an offer to accept before sending rejections?Anonymous User wrote:So sounds like nothing from Bacharach or Kelly then? Yea that's the problem with going somewhere for Christmas. I won't be back until after New Year's and thus won't find my lovely "thanks, but no thanks" letter in the mail. However, I did get an invite to interview via email, so it would be odd if the rejection was via snail mail. But that could be me trying to rationalize hope.Anonymous User wrote:Same is true for me. Re: Let's Talk 10th Circuit!
Had a 10th Circuit interview last year - got the interview offer via a phone call and the rejection like a month later via snail mail. Just FYI. That being said, certainly don't give up hope. Since all these clerkship hiring deadlines are self-imposed, in my experience people will say "By the end of the week" and mean "As soon as we can get to it." Especially with the holidays, I wouldn't think everything is running exactly on schedule. Good luck y'all.Anonymous User wrote:Yea that's the problem with going somewhere for Christmas. In a recent cycle, I got a rejection letter from Bacharach, and the interview invitation came by phone. No point trying to read these kind of tea leaves. That said, good luck!Anonymous User wrote:Yea that's the problem with going somewhere for Christmas. That time that Hartz updates his profile to add a 2015 opening, but while already online doesnt take the extra 30sec to mark the 2016 ones filled even though they clear they are...

My school called some circuit judges to get their hiring info. According to their call results, Mortiz has been done for 2016.Anonymous User wrote:Or Moritz?

I know for certain that Moritz is not done for 2016-2017.

Cool. Good to know that I' paying obscene amounts of money to a school who can't do a phone call correctlyAnonymous User wrote:I know for certain that Moritz is not done for 2016-2017.

This is comforting, but, depending on how you know this, also slightly disheartening. I was thinking I had a decent chance at an interview (not that anyone ever has a "good" chance).Anonymous User wrote:I know for certain that Moritz is not done for 2016-2017.
Thanks for sharing, though.
