Curious to hear people's thoughts on Judge Shwartz in Newark. Good boss? Anything in particular she looks for in applicants? Her OSCAR profile doesn't give much away.

(Stats: good not great grades at HYS, d. ct. clerk in a competitive district outside the Third, will have 2 years of work experience at a firm before clerking, family ties to NJ).

Clarify "good not great grades" and which of HYS you are at if you want any chance at a decent answer. I don't understand why people don't do this as a matter of course.

Is this a purely academic exercise or did you have an interview/offer?

He has an interview I would assume. Judge Shwartz is interviewing for 2016 right now.

Are Schwartz or any of the other NJ judges on the Third Circuit known for caring about NJ ties? I know Chagares does not.

I haven't yet, nor has another person I know interviewed. Did she give you an estimated time for decision?

Nope. I completely forgot to ask. I got the sense that it would be a little while though, since she seemed to still be sorting out what mix of one/two year terms she was going to go with.

Have Greenaway/Chagares started interviewing yet? Chagares's app has been up for a while.

Checking back in. Still nothing on my end. I'm guessing nothing is going to come of it.

Judge Krause is interviewing now for 2015 (and possibly still 2014).

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Likewise, has anybody heard of any movement from Chagares/Greenaway on their 2016 slots?

Greenaway has begun scheduling interviews, not sure about Chagares (although he tends to hire later on).

Krause I assume wants mail apps, right (there's no info on her OSCAR posting)?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
