Droney's hired the two for fall 2014, but not sure on the two for Jan 2014.

Any idea if the judges named above are receptive to parlay calls?

I've been told that Katzmann has made at least some calls. I don't know from first hand experience though, because, sadly, I wasn't one of those calls.

Chin made calls on Friday (and possibly yesterday) and is interviewing this week.

Katzmann conducted interviews and extended offers on Friday.

What about some of the New Haven judges? Cabranes? Carney? Walker? Calabresi?

For 2015, that is...

I thought Walker had just finished 2014 hiring last month. I doubt he's already doing 2015 hiring, but I suppose it's possible.

I heard from a someone (not the most reliable source, fwiw) that Cabranes is already hiring for 2016.

My guess is that Carney and Calabresi are both still in the early stages, since they both are publicly in favor of following the plan (although they use the plan to hire two years out).

Anyone else have any info?

This wouldn't surprise me. Katzmann is already hiring into 2017-18. And yes, I'm not even joking, as crazy as that is!

That's absurd. It must just be a random alum he really liked.

How is this possible? Has the person been accepted to any law schools yet? Is it a family friend? Weird.
Maybe alum?
No, he's hiring rising 3Ls, with the expectation that they'll work for two years, clerk for Rakoff and then for him.
