Judge Hull has generally hired off-plan, but going the other way, i.e., has hired two months after the Plan. I don't know anything about Judge Hull for this cycle, but can't see a good reason why she would deviate from this.jrf12886 wrote:Can anyone confirm Hull and/or Martin are interviewing 2Ls at this point? Martin is. Hull has always hired late. Don't think the breakdown of the plan will change that for her, but it's possible. I have no inside information on her.jrf12886 wrote:Can anyone confirm Hull and/or Martin are interviewing 2Ls at this point? Everything I've heard suggests they are on plan for 2Ls.

Is Barkett really on plan? I called her chambers a month or so ago and the person who answered said she was, but I'm doubtful...

I'm a 3L, and she interviewed/hired on plan last year. At least for the student who got hired at my school.Anonymous User wrote:Is Barkett really on plan? I called her chambers a month or so ago and the person who answered said she was, but I'm doubtful...

As for the judges who are still hiring, I know that Pryor has already scheduled the rest of his interviews for this summer. Therefore, those who have applied and not received an interview from Pryor are effectively out of the running.

Not specifically a clerkship, but does anyone know what they are looking for with federal staff attorneys in Atlanta? They keep re-posting the same listing; do they actually have open positions or do they just enjoy resumes? If they have open positions, what in the hell do they want, because I can't imagine they lack for applications?
I know I posted this in the "Employment" section as well, but since this relates a bit to clerkships, I thought I might get a response here, too.

Re: Let's talk 11th Circuit!
I think they just collect resumes and then call up people when they have openings. I got a call like a year after I applied, on my old phone/phone #, asking if I was still looking for employment. Don't even know how old the message was because I had already switched to a new phone # and phone and just happened to see it at some point.kalvano wrote:Not specifically a clerkship, but does anyone know what they are looking for with federal staff attorneys in Atlanta? Any idea what type of grades Jordan looks for from say HYS? I know, I know, it depends, but I'd rather not ask professors to make calls to judges that I have zero shot with; rather save those for ones I have a chance with.

It depends, as you say, but my sense is that good recs and calls can go a long way with him. I know a few former district court clerks of his and all of them had calls made or very strong letters written on their behalf. I would ask a prof to call.Anonymous User wrote:Any idea what type of grades Jordan looks for from say HYS? I know Pryor has interviewed for 2015. Does anyone know of he has filled any 2015 slots?
