how to email judge

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jan 27, 2013 2:15 am

If a judge emailed me asking to interview me, how should I respond?

Judge _______,

Thank you for considering me for _____. (should I say thank you for considering me, or thank you for your response? or what..)
I will be available to meet with you ___________

Regards,
___________

It just seems like everything has to be more formal with judges so I'm not sure how to write the email

I think you're over-thinking it. That sounds fine; you're right that you should be formal with a judge, but I think the appropriate level of formality is comparable to what any other potential legal employer might expect. If you want to be a little more formal, consider saying "Dear Judge X."
