George Mason Class of 2016
Wanted to start a little GMU love. Location and anticipated money make this a very possible destination for me. Anyone else?

Thinking about Mason, still waiting to hear. I think I would rather go out to Cali but if I stay in the area, GMU is a good bet.

I saw they normally include a tour of arlington during the ASD so that should be helpful for getting to know the area. I'm pretty interested in the atmosphere seeing as we are deciding where to spend 3 years of our lives!

Deposit in the mail, hotel and train booked for ASD.
Where are folks looking for housing? We might be down in Crystal City (easier for husband's commute). How bikable is it from Crystal City to GMU? As in, no huge highways that I've had to cross or really really steep hills; I bike around NYC quite a bit and it would be wonderful to bike to class a few days a week. Otherwise I'll be on the metro.

Hmm I suppose it's doable but I've never done it myself. If you take the W&OD it would probably work but not sure how long that would take you.lyra4 wrote:Deposit in the mail, hotel and train booked for ASD.

I may or may not be going here depending on the scholarship info...

Thread resurrection. Orientation on August 9-10, and the first day of class on the 15th. Is anyone else hanging around on the boards?

Recent Mason grad here. Solid choice, especially in-state. Get decent grades and have a personality--you will get a job. It's a sliding scale between the two attributes. Godspeed!
