This place has been popping up a lot on my searches. I know that it's new and taking applications for tenants moving in in August 2013. Is it still under construction? Does it look like a good deal for C'ville?

Roommates! Clearly unless you're balling it's the only way to go. Although as an older student I do want to live on my own but beggars can't be choosers.

If I go here I'm certainly living on my own and I'm not ballin. Being from a big metro area the prices are so cheap. 750 for a 1BD at the Jeff.... I'll take it. The COL budget leaves a lot of wiggle room

Literally the only requirement I have of wherever I live is an in-unit washer/dryer. That is it. But I know it'll be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Huntington does, pretty sure Ivy doesnt, but someone who knows better can answer

Honestly, if you do Ivy, Huntington, Jeffersonian, Arlington, or Grad Center, you can walk to all the parties fairly easily. I would say Ivy is the most central to parties, and has the most parties.

Are there that many parties in law school for that to matter?

1L, fall semester: every weekend until Thanksgiving. Mostly mixers, where your section has a theme party up to two other sections. Some weekday parties.

Cant say for any further date, as I'm a 1L

Eh, some. Most are organized by a person from your section you "elect" to do that kind of thing. They are the section SBA rep and they plan all the fun stuff. I lived about 15 minutes from campus and still made it to all the parties. Its not that bad, but yeah IVY makes parties/school convenient.

Hey would any splitters mind sharing their stats? Trying to get a feel for how this cycle is going (I'm going to be 3.0-3.1/177) and want to ED when I apply next fall.

3.15/174 ED admit here...a note though, on LSN a 3.2/177 got waitlisted. So far this cycle I have the lowest GPA accepted on LSN.

UVA looks absolutely beautiful, and I've come around to thinking that attending school in a college town rather than a city might actually be really awesome.

But dat softball, man.. I don't think I'll ever come to fully enjoy the fratty culture that UVA has a reputation for. Any other softball resisters out there?

then you shouldnt go to law school lol

EDIT: I dont mean this as in dealing with how well you will do. I just mean I partied hard in UG and even the hard partying in LS is pretty weak comparatively

Nope spots were still available a week before classes began, though those were the farthest walk from the school

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
