Top Law Schools

Title says it all. Anyone paying sticker feel free to voice your thoughts on your decision, or anyone who adamantly opposes students doing this feel free to give any TLS words of wisdom. I am attending Columbia at sticker and am definitely very scared about the debt. However, I am not worried about getting a job. This makes me kind of come to terms with my decision better. Also, long term, I am hoping the prestige of the degree opens doors in other places.

UVA at sticker. Not worried about getting a job. Between their ranking and passing the patent bar this summer, I'm pretty content.

So have you graduated? How'd you prepare for the patent bar while in school?

Yeah, you have to have a degree to be eligible to sit. You can't be in the process of attaining your degree. Ive been off for a month. Plenty of time to study in that month alone when you aren't working

I think Columbia is the most expensive school one can attend at sticker. Kind of sucks relatively speaking. I know there are a lot more people paying sticker at HYS and Boalt, but still, I am trying to rationalize it. Congrats on UVA and the patent bar though, you are a success story.

You can take the patent bar before graduating from law school. If you already knew that, my apologies.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe ninja was wondering if chem graduated from law school and Chem thought he meant ug.

So I guess the question isn't so much as being content with the debt but can't Brent with possible not starting at $160k/year out the gate. I'm in a similar spot with an offer and the debt is definitely a thought on my mind but I would probably make the same choice if I had to again.
