Awww! Yeah I quit work a little early so I could have some time to travel. I'll be going to Europe, haven't quite narrowed down the specifics yet (depends on my traveling buddies )

Awesome! I'm under contract for a project that won't be done until after law school starts probably...but I'm doin' that whole "I'll stay as long as I can" sorta thing...lol

LOLOL. Some of us have been working for a while now, forgive me if I'm not impressed by your preftigious 'full time summer job' I have no UG debt and I'm using my own savings to pay for what will likely be my last long-term travel trip before I retire. Don't be bitter just because some of us were smart and took time off to save up money before law school.

I'm in the same exact position crumpets! So glad I took 2 years off to work FT and save money..

About 3 months. Moving, then once I'm settled in, lots of biking and working out, cooking, catching up on some reading I've been meaning to do, maybe making some money, definitely relaxing. Looking forward to it.

Mainly, I will be just trying to make my money last until the law school loans disburse. So, a lot of going to the library.

I'll be wrapping up things at my job by July then road tripping through the mountain west and get to California way early. Using extra time to situate and maybe see some places in California (only been there a few times).

Especially if you are moving for LS:

Suggestions for 1-3 weeks before school starts:
- get your eye doc/dentist/physician figured out and get up to date on appts n prescriptions
- get your car (if you have one) checked out/oil changed
- have fun!
- look for connections to alumni in the new city (one alumni I met for coffee the week before orientation started worked at a V10 and was scheduled as one of my interviewers for a 1L SA callback)

3. Figure out housing plans. (Going to Minnesota, from Illinois, about a 400mi. trip)
4. Not taking my car, so that is nice.

Really, my main concern is housing right now. I applied to Gamma, but am still waiting. If that falls through, some of you TLS folk better be willing to share an apartment with me! (and possibly my cat...) Basically, everything that concerns housing and moving is on my mind right now, and probably will be for the near future.

Why aren't you taking your car for that short of a distance?

I don't want to have it. Minneapolis has an excellent public transit, plus I want to ride my bike. Also, it will save me on gas money and other car related expenses. I am actually thinking of signing over the title to my parents as a gift. I have an old, 2001 Lincoln LS. They only have one car....
