Seems like my best option, so probably. Looks like finding a living situation is going to be a pain though

apartment complexes in the area, but I have a medium sized dog which is making it harder.

Did you take a look at housing yet? I just signed a lease for a four person apartment in the Fayette (sp?) grad apartments right across the street from the school.
