Whatever you want so long as it's better than pajamas.

Even so, there are some who take this as a mere suggestion.

Anybody know if there are any kind of mail services offered to law students? I live in a house where any kind of package would be delivered on the front porch...but if I'm ordering electronics or something, I'd rather have it go somewhere secure. Thoughts?

There is no formal mail service. You could address it to yourself c/o a journal or student group you belong to, but that will increase delivery time by at least a couple of days. But it will be fairly secure as all the group mail is held in the student center (access limited to students only). A more secure option is to put a note on the door when you are expecting something and have it held at the post office/UPS/FedEx. Obviously a bigger pain in the rear (FedEx is in Emeryville so a bit out of the way. Not sure about UPS).

If you can't do that (e.g. No car) and it's too valuable even for the student center (e.g. new laptop), you might be able to ask Janine or Mindi in student services if they would mind you sending it there. Once or twice they may go for it, but I wouldn't use that option for your bi-weekly care packages from grandma, etc.

For those not on the FB c/o 2015 group, I thought I'd post the announcement here for a party/fund-raiser for all Berkeley Law students on Aug 18th. SOs welcome.

Looking for a female roommate to live in Berkeley and who is willing to share a one bedroom apartment (rent should be $700-$800 for each of us, not including utilities and internet). PM me if interested and we can discuss if we are a good fit. Thanks!

Hi Paprika,

Unfortunately I just signed a lease for a one bedroom with another girl. But if you want any suggestions on where to look, let me know as I have countless hours worth of research that may help!

I would looove some suggestions on apartments. I've done a TON of research about areas, etc but I'm having trouble identifying good places because everything has such awful reviews.

haha great. I don't know what to do. I am inclined to get a cheap house with a long commute so that at least I don't have to share walls but it's hard to search from out of state...

I was in town looking for a 1BR in June. Some of the options were really shitty but I also saw some fairly nice options. Here are the names of management companies that I thought had reasonable offerings. Also check out the Cal Rentals listings. And I also saw a few good options on Craigslist...

Is anyone here attending B's Pre-Law Orientation? I was wondering if this program is actually good.

Has anyone gotten their class schedule yet? I did the final acceptance in time, but just saw the crap about SLR and filled that out late. My login and email still work and say I'm accepted, but I'm just hoping I didn't screw anything up :/

Are we ok to order books for the two classes we have to register for already? I did mine yesterday and I see there are already books listed for these courses, so I imagine it's safe? I just want to make sure because I thought we wouldn't know ANYTHING until orientation but I have my class and section number for CivPro and Property already if TeleBears is to be believed.

Pretty sure your property textbook could be one of several...

I graduated this summer.

I have 1L study aids for sale, see the pix - they were all bought in 2009.
So I will sell $10-$15 each. PM me. I'm in Berkeley and can meet at Cafe Zeb.

Wouldn't it just be what's listed here for that class? http://www.law.berkeley.edu/php-program ... eBooks.php

If I am misunderstanding I'll hold off.
