Yay! Admitter 12/5 as well. So now do we just...wait? Are we going to get anything in snail mail? (I still feel like it's not going to be 100% real until I get something in the mail!).

Re: Columbia Law Class of 2015
Hi everyone!
I didn't find this thread till now, so I am a little late but it's great to see the other ED admits!
I was also accepted on Dec. 5! (I checked the email at the airport, so it was even more exciting haha)
Columbia has always been my top choice, so I am THRILLED to be a part of it next year!
I hope everyone enjoys wonderful and relaxing holidays!

Re: Columbia Law Class of 2015
Hey guys,
I have a quick question.
Have you guys received the VCE in the mail yet?
I initially thought they were supposed to come at the end of Jan or early Feb,
but now I am not quite so sure and it's worrying me a bit lol

I am still shocked I got into Columbia. My numbers are a bit subpar for Columbia but not too far off. No scholly and with the cost of living in NYC.... Eek.

Re: Columbia Law Class of 2015
I think wed-thurs are horrible dates for an ASW. I have to work and I assume a lot of people have jobs or school during the week. I'm going to do my best to make it work because come on this is a huge life decision but this is very difficult or me. It ruins my Friday unless I can find a super late flight on Friday.lovefoolosophy wrote:I believe the first one is Feb.29-March 1, and the second one is March 28-29!
I am such a whiner, this is Columbia!

What is VCE? Is it the massive packages I've been getting in the mail? Does anyone know how many they are planning to send?

It's Columbia's acceptance letter. (Though not everyone who gets accepted gets one, I got an email because I'm currently overseas.)
They will send out as many VCE's as acceptances.

This forum is kinda dead. I have some questions about ASW. What airport should I fly into and is anyone staying with a current student?

Uh... whichever is cheapest? Transportation options from JFK, LGA, and EWR aren't that different.jpal13 wrote:This forum is kinda dead. I have some questions about ASW. What airport should I fly into and is anyone staying with a current student?
The Admitted Student's Website has a list of people who are willing to house students (I believe).

Why is this forum so dead? Anyone going to ASW next week? Is there another forum admits have been talking in?

I think it's because a lot of people are still undecided. Columbia hasn't given out non-named scholarship info yet. This forum is generally for people who have already committed to a school. I still haven't decided yet, but at the moment I'm leaning towards NYU because of their financial aid offer.jpal13 wrote:Why is this forum so dead? Anyone going to ASW next week? Agreed. Hopefully CLS scholly info will come out within the next 3 weeks or so, as they did say late March/early April. Last year, I think it was April 4th.Bronck wrote:I think it's because a lot of people are still undecided. Columbia hasn't given out non-named scholarship info yet. I haven't committed either, comparing with Penn. I just don't want to annoy people in the "still waiting" forum with questions. Still waiting for scholly info too. I'm going to both preview days, I'm leaning Penn for personal reasons.sfreuden wrote:Agreed.
