I was okay with the finale. It was one of the only episodes all season that wasn't entirely predictable :P

On my drive home from work today, I kept thinking "Yes, I am going to choose Michigan over Chicago." Then about 2 minutes ago, I changed my mind to Chicago. Still don't know what I'm going to do. A decision must be made by tomorrow...maybe I'll have a eureka moment after watching the finale of Glee tonight.

Surprisingly, the Glee finale worked. I've made my decision. Thank you Rachel Berry.

So...?

need you ask?

Hmm. Chicago, then?

Also, WTF with that finale. So many WTFs.

I've never had big city dreams like Rachel Berry. In the end all I want to do is make a difference and be happy. Also I visited Chicago - the Northside is cool but was not looking forward to living in Hyde Park. Try driving through there at 11pm - that's how you really get to know the feel for a place. A2 is the destination for now.

The Glee finale was a bit wtf. But I suppose it means most of the cast will be back next season. What Finn did in the end was ridiculous. Why would he join (spoiler) and (spoiler) Rachel?

Awwwww yeaaaaahhhh. I had a feeling this was gonna happen.

If you have any leads, or are looking for a roommate and have questions, please contact me at joshlav@umich.edu. Thanks and Im sure Ill be seeing you all sometime soon!

For the record, the 9th and 10th editions of the Torts book are too dissimilar to use the 9th for class. I just finished looking at them side by side and it's a no-go.

I plan on moving to Ann Arbor in early August. Does anyone know if there are many houses within walking distance (20 minutes or less) from the school? I'd like to rent a small house to avoid having a dog in an apartment building.

Yes. I saw some for rent on Oakland, Packard, and the surrounding area. (The little back roads behind Dominick's, across the street from the law school.)

I'm not sure if those houses are pet-friendly but I do see a lot of people walking around with dogs so there's gotta be a decent number of places that are in the area.

I got a direct deposit from the school that I think is just my COL loans for the summer. I haven't gone through to check if my tuition loans have been posted yet.

I see you with that skrilllaaaaa gurlllll.

But in other news I've actually met a couple of wolverines in the past few days. One before I left SC, two more yesterday, and one on a forum I've been on for years before he revealed he was an alum recently. All of them have been great, intelligent and social as hell. Im actually excited to get to school as I keep meeting more people from Mich. I know a lot of people complain about their fellow Law students but so far I'm thinking Michigan is definitely the right place for people that aren't trying to gouge each others eyes out.

^ I've also stumbled across a few Wolverine alums recently. One of the professors who wrote my LOR went to grad school at Michigan. And one of my new co-workers graduated from Michigan Law recently. Both had good things to say about the school.

Also - anyone know of any decent A2 apartments that offer 9-10 month leases?
I'm going to Europe for a couple of weeks after 1L and would rather save money for that trip instead of spending it on 3 months of rent for a place I won't even be in during the summer.

Woodbury offers some sort of abbreviated lease.

For you other summer starters out there: Are we supposed to bring anything with us to orientation tomorrow?

Summer starters began orientation today?

How was the first day of school, kiddies? Did you pack a healthy lunch and catch the bus on time? Were the other kids nice to you?

I've got a fun idea. Let's all talk about quitting our jobs!! I'll go first.

I just gave 1-month notice to my boss (I know, I'm too nice) after having kept law school a secret for my entire 2 year employment at my ad agency. No one knew. Then I updated my education info on my Facebook and let the news trickle the rest of the office that way. Made for a very fun and eventful day.

Looking forward to a nice summer vacation.

So, getting football tickets supposedly starts Wednesday at 9 am - has anyone gotten an email about it or anything?

the season ticket package includes home games but what about the away games - ie The Ohio State game? That's honestly the only one I care about and would go to. Times like this makes me wish I'd become a Buckeye alumni...

Better start hitting up the Ohio State Class of 2015 thread!

In other news, the games switch location each year, so you'll get it as a 2L. Why the OSU love?
